You could do what I did when we played Chelsea a couple of seasons ago, went Chelsea in LMS but backed Saints & a draw at the bookies. I won my LMS stake back (and covered my 2 bets) after the subsequent draw, and would have won a lot more had we won. I’d imagine we’ll be well long odds so you’ll either go through, win some money or at worse break even, no matter what the result.

The rate cap went up in October and it’ll go up even more in April. The price in April will be based on wholesale energy prices Aug-Jan and they’ve already gone through the roof, unless there’s a miracle and they drop in Dec & Jan, April will be painful. I guess you could try and fix above the cap now, but below where you think it will be after April, but as you say, finding a fix is easier said than done. The advice seems to be to stick with the variable capped rate. But prepare for big increase in April

Brian Clough lost the Leeds dressing room 45 years ago.

He’s tidy, he picks up some good positions, follows instructions, works hard, nice boy. But he’s way too one paced, not quick thinking enough and minces about, rather than get hurt. Needs to be moved on.

You think? There’s absolutely nothing in the management of the goal keeping situation that should give anyone any confidence that anyone knows what they’re doing. It wouldn’t surprise me if they signed some nipper to back up McCarthy.
-
And we’ll be doing the same thing next season and the following season if Groundhog Ralph is in charge.
-
I might be, but at least I can form coherent sentences.
-
Even more mental when you think they allowed Conte to walk into spurs.
-
I can’t see the bloke being worse than Elyounoussi or Walcott today. Showed some promise last year, has anybody asked Ralph why he’s not featuring?
-
Ralph could lose another game 9-0 and his fan boys would find other scapegoats.
-
Fuck me, we’ve seen it play out over and over and over again. What’s his Xg, ISl & Wcwfs?
-
The only difference is the hipster scale of the manager.
-
Just discussing Ole on Sky sports and the former pros have all agreed “the buck stops with the manager”. Not according to Stato, that’s a stupid take on it. Lol…. If his name was Ralph Higson from Barnsley the play station boys would place the buck firmly at his door. Lol
-
The buck stops with the bloke that picks the keeper.
-
They didn’t need many, only two. Typical Ralph ball. Not good enough, and the buck stops with the manager.

Norwich is a pretty attractive job imo. You get a free hit the rest of this season (surely nobody thinks they’ll realistically stay up), and you’ll get a decent championship side to work with next season.

Which 90s band are you regretting the last 25-30 years over?

I used to sit and listen to albums right through, but now I’ve started chopping and changing them a bit with singles or additional tracks not on the original. I started with “Pepper”, cutting out Harrison’s dirge “within you without you” and replacing it with “strawberry fields forever” (which was recorded around the same time). Sacrilege, I know. But I did read an article where George Martin said he used to put the weakest track as the first one on side 2, so people could drop the needle on the second track when they flipped it over. -

I chucked all mine away. Have also chucked hundreds and hundreds of CD’s away as well. I’ll be fucked if I suddenly couldn’t afford Apple Music as I basically own fuck all now. -
The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

My point is that you need some front to be part of new Labour, and make jibes about cash for peerages. Bearing in mind plod were banging on number 10’s door when Ali’s master was in there. What’s next, Keith Richards issuing warnings over drug use? -

Being at the heart of New Labour, he’d know the going rate. -

The monkees “sound like” pre Rubber Soul Beatles, but they’re considered a joke group, why’s that? Because in your opinion the similarities mean that you have to like them if you like The Beatles. I presume you can’t like Frank Sinatra without liking Michael Bublé There’s a delicate balancing act between being influenced by & copying. What makes something innovative, fresh & appealing is the very thing that makes copy cat groups boring and predictable. The Stones became boring and predictable, because they became a tribute act to themselves . There are plenty of people who thought they were good 45 years ago, but think they’ve made nothing but duds since. In your eyes people can’t dislike their 1990’s/2000’s shite because they loved Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main St. It’s a pony line of argument. -
These things are pretty much a done deal with the player before any negotiations between clubs. If there was ever player that was going to be involved in an auction in was VvD, yet there didn’t appear to be one. Despite Liverpool saying they weren’t pursuing him any more, there still was t a rush to buy this great player that would have walked into any side. Why was this, because City, etc didn’t rate him, or because they knew he wanted to go to Liverpool and knew he would only go to Liverpool . I know which one I think it is.

If everyone shared your ridiculous view The Monkees would be considered one of the all time greats. Of course, you don’t really subscribe to this view, you’re just looking for an argument. -

You can go back in time and find new stuff (as in something you’ve never heard before). Personally, I think the timeframe from Rubber Soul to The Last Waltz, the greatest musical era. But clearly music is a personal thing, so I should of added “in my opinion”, before my toilet comment. Apart from Dawes I haven’t heard anything since Paul Weller that floats my boat. I particularly dislike the 80’s where even a genius like Stevie Wonder produced some complete and utter pony. As for the 90’s, can’t stand oasis, blaggers, recycling old riffs. They were basically a Revolver tribute act,
