I guess the Furlough scheme is probably the biggest indicator of when a lot of restrictions will end. Once it was extended till the end of April it was pretty much nailed on that there’d be no semblance of normality before then. If they still intend to wind it up at the end of April, summer could be somewhere near normal.

The only clarification needed is the Government’s end game. At what point will they let life return to normal, normal as in pre 2020 normal. Is it when deaths and hospitalisations are at flu levels, is it when they’re at road traffic accident levels, is it zero Covid, is it when vulnerable are vaccinated or when all adults are vaccinated. If they laid there end goal out, then people don’t need “road maps” to get there. They can work it out for themselves. There’s a lack of clarity as to what they’re trying to achieve, apart from “save lives”, which is woolly. What is success, what are the circumstances they’ll declare it over.

I’ve never really understood why refs are VAR one week, ref the next. Linos, don’t ref at top level as it’s considered a specialised skill, why isn’t VAR. At the moment it stinks as a clique. Refs want to back each other up. I think we need an elite band of VAR officials, taken from ex referees. Clatenburg, Webb, Poll, people like that. They’ve just lost their legs, but know the rules, know the game & have been top officials in their time. They would have enough separation from the officials and wouldn’t have an unhealthy relationship with their mates.

Love Perpignan, the coast from there to Montpellier is the best bit of France. Have you done Perpignan to Andora, me and the snap dragon did it and went into a spa in the mountains. Great place.

Personally, I think he’s been a model pro, Ive seen a lot bigger wankers than him playing for us. I know the bloke who decorated his house a couple of summers ago, and he told me he was a decent bloke off the field as well. Pretty popular at most clubs he’s played for.

He’s got more less the same win % as Claude Puel, as well as suffering two 9-0’s.
