Refreshing to see us getting crosses in & showing some urgency when chasing the game. Far better than Legoball, and damning of him and his “process”. Proper set up and proper game management for the situation. Suga made a difference, good to see him getting by people and crossing the ball. Dibling off tonight, Manning did ok, but he’s one still playing with the Lego straight jacket on. Downes needs some coaching imo, and the sooner we get Ramsdale back in nets the better. Looked better without Armstrong as well. Tall Paul a mixed bag, and Archer isolated. I can’t see how we can fit Dibling and MF into the side if we want to play those 2 in the same side. Downes just isn’t good enough defensively to protect the centre halves alone, so we need to play 3 or a substandard DM like Smallbone or even Manning in there. The new bloke may get a song out of the Chelsea lad, but we’re really poor against the ball in the midfield. We’re still shite, but we can grind out some results with that attitude and set up. There’s no doubt we’ll be better off long term abandoning the ridiculous Lego project.

They said anything to get elected, even though they didn’t really need to. When he spoke to Simon Jordan’s podcast he said it was the disconnect at the top of the club that put him off. Jordan has mentioned that he was friendly with Martin Semmens and Semmens thought highly of him as a manager. I took that to mean that Semmens wanted him but SR weren’t so sure.

I think matching Ipswich & Leicesters points total for the remaining games is a reasonable ask. Not getting patronised by the bigger managers would also be a good start. Love to see some managers actually moaning about the way we play. Id like to see a few of Martin’s outsiders get a chance. Tall Paul, for one, Wood deserves a run to see if he’s better than THB & Bednarek. I’d like to see the Japanese bloke get a run of games and play as a full back. I’d like to see him coach Downes & install some fucking defensive midfield behaviours. BBD needs a go down the middle occasionally , Archer needs to be put into situations where he can use his pace. In short, I’d want the new bloke to manage the players and tactically set up to give us the best chance of grinding out results.

Dear god. Tears 😂😂 He’s been an unmitigated disaster this season. His refusal to adapt and his arrogance in refusing to change from his vanity project cost us our premier league place before it had really started. He’s one of the worst manager in top flight history, the only tears we should be crying are tears of joy that the fraud has gone.
