  1. Only Mings knows whether he did it deliberately. In a court of law it would have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt, in an FA hearing it's the balance of probability. If you look across social media , radio & TV most ex pros & ex referees felt it was deliberate. The problem is if you start judging incidents on the pitch with beyond reasonable doubt, lots of serious incidents will go unpunished. There has to be an element of "we think he meant it" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Nobody is writing him off, but we had all this "clearly has talent " pony with Gaston. Talent without application & mental toughness will get you nowhere in the English game. I am not writing him off, but can you honestly say we won't still be discussing him in a similar way in a years time? You never know the Swansea game could become his Villa game. And if you read back through the Redmond threads I was one of those backing him , and took stick for it. Redmond worked hard and was up to it physically, I'm not sure Boufall is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It was an impact injury, he will recover 100%. Some of you need to stop being such old women. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. **** me its Gaston MK2 He's been really disappointing, no excuses , he needs to toughen up and start producing. He has not looked "class" to me YET. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Good job Palace didn't think like you or WGS and went for it against league champions Liverpool in '89. Having got beat 9-0 at Anfield, they took them on and beat them 4-3 in the semi final. Perhaps they should have played for a narrow defeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I read an article where Lawrie said it was Peter Osgood, getting him in gave him and the club credibility and led to him signing all those other top top players slightly over the hill. My list would include Shilts, who was world class at the time and our keepers hadn't exactly been that before. Keegan obviously & Bally who had a great impact on the club, particularly with Steve Williams. Jimmy Case had a similar impact with Mattys generation. More up to date I'd say Lambert & Jose. 8. Isn't "Community club of the year"the equivalent of "Clubman of the season". Awarded to the useless twt who can't win anything meaningful so is condescendingly given a made up award. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Puel

All this pony about Koeman playing 4-2-3-1 , he changed systems plenty of times . We must have played 3 at the back half a dozen times. We played Long & Pelle as a two on occasions & also played 4-4-2 & 4-3-3. The only bloke who was consistent with his formation was Poch, whereby the Football Manager generation on here complained about " no plan B" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Forum favourite Morgan really average at White Hart Lane, nowhere near OR's level this season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Redknapp wasn't & Souness said that he should of knocked it back to the keeper before bollocking him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. There's a big difference between wanting out and would be interested in moving to a bigger club. I suspect Bertrand would be open to approaches from champions league clubs but "wanting out" implies he's unhappy. As for the op. I'd want to ship out Forster, Reed, Gardos , JRod & Austin. Puel

Loving the posters claiming Puel has changed and is now doing what they wanted all along. Still that's easier than saying they were wrong about him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. He needs more consistency to play as a 10. Two decent games in 12 isn't good enough. He was poor at Wembley when we really needed him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. It's funny because I've seen loads of centre halves you think could do that, even way back Gareth Southgate , Jamie Caraghar , Chambers was another. I agree about Stephens, yet many don't seem to be able to switch, Diers probably the only one I can think of recently . It's strange really, because you would think they're pretty similar roles and more could do it. However it tends to be normal midfielders who turn themselves into defensive midfielders rather than centre halves doing so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That's the main reason we got Puel in, he believes in nippers and he plays them . On that score he's done everything we've wanted. Simms, McQueen , JWP and Stephens have made great strides under him . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I can't believe that Stephens isn't a top quality centre half yet. What's up with the bloke, after a handful of premier league games he should be up to speed by now ffs . Puels ****ing clueless, what sort of a manager stands by his youngsters and lets them learn from their mistakes. Unless a nipper is as good as a senior pro he needs to be dropped. Stephens hasn't played like VvD, he's clearly out of his depth. Why on earth would the club look to the future and give him a chance? **** me, we only got 6!points today and at Sunderland, without him we'd have got 8 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Played well for most of the game, but the sloppy 20 mins around their equaliser could have cost us. Make no mistake, their keeper killed them. We'll need to be more ruthless against better sides. I don't get the "out of his depth" comments about Stephens. Obviously he's not as good as VvD or even Yoshida, but he's not out of his depth. He'd get in the Watford side, and there's plenty of centre halves in this league at his level. Puel proving what a good manager he is, to get 3 away points after Sun is good man management. Well done Claude & Eric Black Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
