Today ,West Ham & Boscombe are 3 away performances every bit as good as anything Koeman did. I've said all along that given the loss of Mane,Pelle & Vic Puels doing a better job than people make out. Today was proof of that. Stephens played well because of the faith Puel has shown in him, ditto JWP & Redmond. OR is playing far better than he ever did under Koeman. Now he's been given a striker who can score and more importantly make intelligent runs, we've got the makings of a decent little side. You're right,the whole thing stinks. I'm lucky enough to have a S/T but can still see the unfairness of it. Allowing people to become members just because we got to a cup final is just a short term money making scheme. If they really wanted to drive the membership scheme & make it a long term alternative to having a S/T then they should have just gone S/T holders, followed by members ( but closed entry in sept)as I'm pretty sure there weren't that many members come the start of the season. They could have sold the memberships on the back of "priority" for tickets after S/T holders, so nobody could complain. It would mean that next season and subsequent seasons memberships would have become popular.What they've done now is killed it stone dead. Who is going to shell out £25 at the start of the season, when they can just pay £25 when we get to a cup final. FFS surely that makes more business sense. The problem you've got is so many people will get tickets, and the people who get them won't be complaining. If they had thousands of complaints, then they may realise the cock up this is. But as they wont get many, and people with a genuine grievance like yours, will also get mixed up with other non deserving sob stories, that they'll just ignore it. I know it's a forlorn plea, but I hope everybody who thinks this system unfair writes in to the club, even if they did get a ticket. I certainly will be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The authorities have clearly given up on enforcing seating in certain areas of the ground & away supporters. Therefore it seems completely and utterly pointless to continue to oppose safe standing areas. At the moment we have non safe standing areas. I know it's the law, but the football authorities should be pushing for this asap. I'm in my 50's and although prefer sitting accept that when I buy an away ticket im going to stand. However, I'm not sure I'd like to at 65 and certainly not when I start taking my grandson away. Clearly, being able to pick your away seats will help, but having separate standing and sitting blocks has to be the way forward. Wembley is going to be interesting because there will be a lot of people not used to away games that'll be forced to stand or get upset. I wonder whether the club could have done more work with supporters groups/forums to "suggest" blocks for the more boisterous fans. Calling it a singing section maybe corny but "singing"'would clearly be code for standing. They can't be seen to encourage standing but they could have dropped some ****ing great hints. Koeman wouldn't have got us anywhere near Europe without Vic, Mane & Pelle. Anyway he didn't strictly get us into Europe . Arsenal & Man C did . I guess we've been in so many finals that we can dismiss them as meaningless unless we win it. It's amazing that Poch or Koeman never got to a cup final seeing how easy it is. But of course we only got there because Liverpool are shiete. Let's just forget that that we've played them 3 times & have yet to concede ( they were blowing everyone away around the time of the first game) , Puel has never lost to Liverpool or that Klopp has never been knocked out in any of the semi finals he's reached. It really does make me laugh. Everybody would have taken a drop off in the league for a final pre season, but now it's not good enough. Thank god there was no internet around in '76 because some clowns would have been bemoaning the lack of promotion & citing luck in drawing a 4th division side in the quarters & 3rd division in the semis. Of course Lawrie did get stick at first, not that anyone will admit giving it.So at least the Internet gives us the opportunity to revisit some posts in the coming year or two. Just because there's a lot of high earning EU nationals, does not mean that at the lower end of the wage scale,uncontrolled EU migration has not suppressed wages. Even if he hasn't played for a year you could chuck a class player into a cup final and he'd get by on adrenalin, however when it's a centre half who has to play in a partnership it does become extremely risky.
