  1. If we finish 9th I won't be "one of the idiots" asking for him to go. In fact I'll be saying that he's done a ****ing good job with the squad he's been given. Only idiots would want a manager out whose done a good job. Of course, uber fans like you judge managers on how happy the players are, or fans are, or how excited you are at matches. Me, I judge managers on the league position given the relevant strength of the squad. It's pretty obvious to me that last season & this we've got a god damn average squad. I know you don't like the the fact we finished 8th, but we did. We were English footballs 8th best team. Let's see where we are this year with a similar squad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. "Hard to believe" is putting it mildly , ****ing deluded sums it up. More chance of going to the moon in a shoe box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Let's see how the same players get on with a manager that wants to cuddle them. Let's see where we finish compared to Puel, you can't "ignore that" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I prefer great goals that mean something. This is why I rate Matt's Newcastle 2 & last day at Dell higher than his Blackburn one. He may have made Flowers look a chump, but we lost the match. I particularly like the Wimbledon free kick because it was unique, it also, if memories serve, won us the game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Some of us knew this all along. He did a ****ing good job with the rubbish he was given to work with Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. But as long as we score goals & see exciting football it doesn't matter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Some of you clowns need to grow a pair. Pre season is all about getting match fit, results are secondary. I can't remember how any pre seasons have gone & ive been watching since 1969. I'm sure there's a few sad sacks that'll know, but ffs, nobody cares. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Depends on what constitutes a "cut price deal". If we want £75 million & Liverpool are only prepared to pay £60 million, is it a "cut price deal" if City & Chelsea will only pay £50 million? Surely a players value is defined by the market, not by the selling club's valuation. Personally, I think a compromise is on the cards with us taking less than we want & them paying more than they wanted to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There is a price we will sell to Liverpool for, but they're not prepared to pay it. Either we'll lower that price, they'll pay it, or he'll come round & play out the season. My monies on the first one, we will back down & do a deal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Do you really think we're run by a bunch of half baked idiots? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. What have Liverpool done wrong since we told them no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Strikes me that taking the brightest & the best from other countries is a selfish sort of attitude, a Britain first sort of attitude. If the brightest & best stay in their own countries & contribute to the society that paid for their early schooling, is that not a good thing. Seems the remainiacs want to decimate or nearest & dearest neighbours by pinching all their talent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Spot on. His improvement in 4 months was fantastic. He's composed, and technically sound. Centre halves mature later, its the reason clubs struggle to bring them through the ranks. He's certainly a prospect & handled correctly will be a class act. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I won't. A disloyal **** is a disloyal ****. There's absolutely no difference between Morgan & Lallana's lack of respect for the club & us supporters. The difference was Les Reeds behaviour. Why should VvD, Morgan & Vic get a pass just because we wouldn't sell them when they wanted. They're just as big ****s as Lallana & Lovren in my eyes It's also the reason I was glad to see the back of JRod, he's in the same bag Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. What a load of pony. He's plenty good enough. This time next year he'll be hot property, provided he's used correctly. Chucking him to stagnate in the resses is a waste of his undoubted talent. You would be wetting yourself if he played for Ajax & we were linked with him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. He maybe ITK, but Tom is a ****ing tight wad. It's only £5 ffs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So if we finish 11th with 60 points, you'll claim that's an improvement on the previous season? Weird. What if we won the league with 45 points, would that be worse? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Personally I can't see beyond league position, seeing as that's how a season is judged. If we finish 2nd with more points than Leicester got for winning it, will you claim that's a better achievement? We were 8th best last season, end of. If we come 8th again, the manager would have done a f ucking good job. So why on earth would anyone want to sack him? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. We won't get to a cup final & we won't finish higher than 9th, but people will still claim it was a better season than under Claude. Negatives : JWP will flatter to deceive, Charlie Austin will get injured. Personally, I think Gabbi may struggle for goals. Forster will be an average lump & Shane long will run around a lot and miss chance after chance. Positives: Better football, Stephens will be player of the season. Davo will be consistent & play week in week out, OR will be even better than last season, he'll create more. I've got a gut feeling that Matt Targett will do well & Tadic will be more consistent. PEH to have a good year as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. IF Stephens gets regular games, he'll become a hell of a player. He's got a touch of class about him. If he was playing for Reading or Hull the plums running him down on here, would be calling for us to sign him. He needs games, needs to be a regular, whether that's with Wimmer or VvD doesn't matter, he needs to play next to one of them as opposed to being a reserve. If VvD stays I wouldn't want Wimmer unless we're playing a back 3 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. "Match captain " is an over rated position if you ask me, I don't get the obsession with it . I'd make bloke with most appearances captain for that particular game & someone like Davo club captain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. If you don't think the "victims" tag has nothing to do with Hillsborough, you're deluded or naive. Anyway, I'm sick of this shiete so fill your boots. Perhaps after we can start on tight jocks, or maybe thick Paddies, let's keep the cliches coming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If 96 of our supporters, friends & family went to a football match & never came home, I'm pretty sure we'd still be going on about it 30 years later. And don't give me any pony about Heysel, as horrific as that was ( and their supporters should shoulder a massive amount of the blame), justice was served & people went to jail. There wasn't a 30 year cover up and lies from the establishment. Call them ****s , way anchors , what ever you want . But lay off the "victims" stuff, it's classless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Great support Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The first allocation is sale or return, other subsequent tickets we have to pay in full. I believe the club lost money previously ( Man C away, off the top of my head) so since then have only taken the minimum initial allocation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
