  1. He's been handed a hospital pass from the board. A top ten finish & a cup final without VvD for half a season, Mane, Pelle, Fonte & big vic is every bit as good as 6th & humiliation in the very same cup was with them. Of course we've got ****ing idiot supporters who think it's like Football Manager, typified by the morons who booed protecting the striker from further injury, and seem to think we've a god given right to get better & better each season. From the cards he's been dealt he's played a pretty decent hand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Perhaps Mane had something to do with that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If Everton had Long up front the majority of the season & us lukaku we'd be above them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It's got **** all to do with a vote taken at the end of June. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That's been the case for the past decade, **** all to do with staying in or leaving the EU Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. **** me, if that's the biggest load of bull sh1t you've ever read, you can't have read many football articles. I actually think it's a pretty sensible piece. Klopp is looking to sign him, but faces a battle with City & Chelsea, but Madrid are also "monitoring " him. Koeman wants him, but knows he faces an uphill battle. I can't for the life of me see what's working you up , it's a pretty sensible take on it. The only dodgy bit for me is the Sakho stuff. But IF we are interested in him, then that surely does strengthen Klopps hand. I'm not saying they're ITK and it looks like a lot of stories cobbled together, but as far as gossip goes it's a pretty decent article. I bet Madrid monitor dozens of players, in fact it would be pretty bizarre if they didn't look at VvD. Equally, it would be strange if 3 or 4 top clubs didn't want him. If an article like that winds you up, you're going to have a coronary by the end of the summer window. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 27 men in court this week in Huddersfield. Charged with horrific sexual crimes against children. I bet the names of the accused don't surprise anyone. Not too many Bob Smith's or Pete Brown's. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-39580591 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. FFS, you're in a different universe if you think the club can do anything about it. They haven't sold players "hand over fist" because they want to, but because they've been forced to. The offer is the end of the line. Gone are the days when offers are made speculatively. The player has agreed terms & wants to join before any offer is made. We won't turn down a record offer because we're greedy bar stewards, but because once we've received an offer, he clearly wants out. I hate the way people try & twist this basic reality to moan about the club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You're living in a different universe, constantly blaming the club. We're not selling players " hand over fist" because we want to, we have no choice. Players want to leave. The last thing agreed is the fee. Gone are the days when clubs did deals & then told the player "we've sold you" . The only offers we'll receive are from clubs that have already agreed terms with him. Once we receive offers, he wants to go, end of, the club making the offer wouldn't make it otherwise. Les then had 2 choices, keep an unhappy player or get the most money possible. You're right, we won't turn down a record bid, not because we're greedy bar stewards, but because receiving the offer means he wants out . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Nurse!!!!!!!! Cech Ozil Sanchez Walcott Oxlade Chamberlain Koscielny Cazorla Would walk into our side Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think a few are getting a bit carried away tonight. Even if Wenger stays & both Ozil & Sanchez go, I'd be amazed if we finish above them, it's not going to happen. As for finishing above Liverpool, that's laughable if you ask me. We've done ****ing amazing the last 3/4 years, amazing for us that is. Arsenal have still got players that would walk into our side & money to spend we can only dream of. They have strength in depth we can not match. The interesting one will be Everton in the Europa League, will their league form suffer. Maybe we can then judge this season once we've seen Koemans effort next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What do you think of Ted Bates. John Sillett, Bobby Gould & Alex Mcleish won more than him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Shamus Coleman is out for a year. You have to question Everton's medical department ,because Spurs got Kane back after 3 weeks . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The women of Yorkshire had more chance of falling down the stairs than of being raped & murdered by Peter Sutcliffe. I can't understand why they were so scared to go out at night, as staying in was much more dangerous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. His whole managerial career is mapped out in terms of wanting to manage Barca. Everton was a no brainer, they have a far far better squad than Martinez's league position suggested and were serial under achievers. The media are now creaming themselves about what a "good job he's done" , but the reality is any half decent manager would have Everton in 7th. He was on a hiding to nothing if he'd stayed with us. If he has a decent Europa run, finishes 7th again next season, then an Arsenal or European champions league club will come knocking. From there Barca's a lot nearer than 8/9th with little old Southampton. I'm sure the money helped as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. 1-1 analyst blaming Morgan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I doubt we'd have sold Chambers if we didn't have Clyne. If we just sold players when they wanted to go, why not Morgan that season? There is always a line drawn. Morgan that summer, big vic the following one. Just can't see all 3 going at once. 2 yes, not all 3 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Just put him on ignore. However, that only works if people stop quoting him when they moan about him being a troll. The only time I read his pony is when someone quotes him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I can't see it. I'm not saying that those 3 don't want to go, or that we won't sell all 3 individually, but I can't see all 3 going at once. For all the sales, we do draw a line. I'd be amazed if we sell 3 of the back 4 the same summer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Great performance bearing in mind our missing players, 4 of whom are nailed on starters. The lads that came in did really well & the centre half partnership was superb. Personally I don't buy this "Austin would have buried that " & the criticism of long today. Of course Long can't finish, if he could he'd be in a champions league side, but I'm not convinced Austin would be anywhere near the chances. Long gets us up the pitch, his movement worries defenders. Gabbis got the movement & the finish but Austin just the finish. Playing Austin is the equivalent of playing with 10 until the final third. In the modern game you just can't have that. Long stretched them today, which gave the midfield space to play. He was an important part of our win today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. There's the difference between Puel & Koeman. Our 3 subs coming on, under Koeman Cuco the clown would have played, Caceres would have played, JRod would have come on. Puel is going to be great for the future of this club & some of you lot will end up with egg on your faces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. There isn't a football ground in the country that has a better atmosphere now than it used to have (save Leicester last year). We're no different than anywhere else. Funny thing is, it's one thing the supporters can do something about, yet they just moan about others & lack of goals rather than do something about it. If you stop going because of a lack of atmosphere, you're not much of a supporter really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yes it includes the failed Middlesbrough manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. If everyone in football can see his promise, what's he still doing here? Why have there been no serious offers for him. I'd be amazed if he turned out anything other than an average premier league player, bit like Andrew Surmans ended up. People are getting carried away because he hasn't looked out of place in the side lately, it's only the averageness of his last 2 years that make these last 2 months seem better. He's turned a corner, but he's still not anywhere near as good as somebthink Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. He's done better lately, but let's not get too carried away. He's still incredibly weak in the tackle ( the goal yesterday he was weak in a tackle as the move was starting), and he's still one paced. He's looking better, but that's only because he was pretty average before. I really don't get the praise, he's not a patch on Davo or OR & had PEH followed up on his early promise may not even have featured that much lately. He's clearly not a right sided player and if he's going to have a decent career needs to get into the centre. Personally, I think he'll have a similar career to Andrew Surman. Sat will be a good test, with no OR or Davo and playing away at a tough physical side he needs to step up to the plate. He needs to start taking a few games by the scruff of the neck or changing them ( like Davo did at Boscombe). Lately he seems to play well when we play well, but is average when we don't . Average players are like that, internationals & particularly FEC's aren't , they set the tone & the tempo they run games. I've seen zero evidence he'll ever be capable of that.
