  1. Double post
  2. The keeper should never be beaten on his side. Even though it took a slight deflection had he been in the correct position he'd have saved it. Barton wasn't trying to get it over the wall and it deflected to the other corner. The initial shot was going his way. I reckon most keepers in the league would have made a routine save with that one because of their quickness of feet. Because Forster plays like he's got steel toe caps on he couldn't adjust and atone for his positional area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. But what about Ward-Prowse? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The jury is not out anymore. It's back in with the verdict , he's shiete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So you start a discussion about reasonable behaviour ect on the forum, but within a page label me a WUM because I don't happen to share your opinion of the manager? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Makes me laugh the couple of people moaning about throwing VvD up front at the end . Sides have done this since time immemorial, yet it's wrong when Puel does it. Pathetic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Come on, really? It was his side of the goal, he stands there and he catches it. He tries to second guess that Bartons going over the wall, so takes a couple of steps to that side. Because he's got the movement of a pillar box he can't adjust and recover. He was ****ing dodgy all game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We were set up tactically pretty well, certainly better than many of last seasons away nightmares I witnessed in person. The difference is Mane or Pelle would grab us a goal and Forster was a decent keeper. Make no mistake, he cost us again today. Long & Tadic simply weren't good enough and in Tadics case didn't look like he tried enough. JWP average again. PEH poor first half, but I thought he was ok second. Yoshida did well and VvD obviously head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. As for JRod not starting. Bearing in mind his injury record it would be sheer madness to run him into the ground before Liverpool. That needs to be our focus , our sole aim. Personally, I'd have left him out today, given him a run Weds against Norwich then a weeks rest (so obviously leaving him out against Leicester) before unleashing him at Anfield. The proof of the pudding will be decided at the end of the season. If he's as he is now, and then subsequently ready for a full preseason , then Puels managed him really well IMO . Puel has shown that he is perfectly willing to play certain players week in week out. Do people really think he believes JRod capable of staying injury free and would benefit from constantly playing, but drops him for Long anyway. He can see what we can see, and I'm sure there's nothing he'd like better than to have JRod join VvD, OR & Redmond in playing every week. Doesn't show the strength of the man that he's looking after his and the clubs long term interests, rather than over playing him for selfish short term gain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It's nothing to do with " knowing about football " and all to do with knowing how transfers work. Who knows how transfers work in the professional game,a tit like Townsend whose an expro that's been transferred half a dozen times or a tit like you who posts on an Internet forum? 10. Complete and utter pony . We weren't negative or set up not to lose. We had chance after chance to make something happen and the players final ball was woeful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Our crossing is woeful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. He's been average as well. But here's the point , JWP is always average. Other players play well & then have the occasional average game . He's just average every ****ing time he laces up his boots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. JWP has been average, as he is every ****ing time he plays Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. There's a difference between somebody predicting something and somebody explaining how things happen. Economic forecasts are like football predictions . Townsend may know more about the game than me but if he predicts a result it's perfectly reasonable to disagree with it. If he explains how transfers work, you'd be a fool to say " no they don't " if you've not worked in the game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. If JRod played and got injured Puel would be getting stick on here. His still early into his recovery after being out so long and needs looking after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah you're right . What would an expro who has been transferred 5/6 times know about transfers, compared to a bloke who posts on a football forum . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I think where our away fans are is where away fans should be. Personally I think there should be a league rule that away fans go behind ( or to the side ) of a goal. All this chucking them up in the gods or down the sides is shiete. It's a better atmosphere if they're behind the goal. There's absolutely zero chance of away fans being moved, so if you want to create a whole end for the vocal people you'll need to move up to The Chapel. This can work as Palace and other clubs vocal support is away from the away fans. The only way you'll ever get it to happen though, is if safe standing comes in and the chapel is designated as the safe standing stand.Even then it'll probably take about 5 years and hundreds of bans for standing in Northam, before half the muppets realise and accept it. 18. Tactical voting should work in UKIPs favour. I reckon this is set up for Nuttall. The only doubt that he may have is the seat disappears after the boundary review. May depend on whether the adjacent seats have Remain candidates in them. If they do, I reckon he'll go for it because he can then take on a Remainer in the GE , if not, he may duck the challenge . Personally I'd go with Nigel until the seat disappears, he can then have a well earned spell in the Lords
  19. Get rid then , that's all we need pussy whipped players Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It all depends when he made it " formal". There's no doubt he wanted away in summer but did he make it a formal request to leave .Unlikely, because players just don't do that. Townsend's point was to make an official request to leave you know full well where you want to go and know full well they want you, and you've agreed basic terms. Maybe Fonte wanted to go to Utd in summer, but was denied move. He was happy to play through till end of season, but somethings happened recently to make him officially want to leave. Maybe Fat Sam and little Sam tapping him up is the thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. **** me, if UKIP had to pick a seat to fight, that would be right at the top of their list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It is funny how wrong they keep getting it, but they're only posters on a football forum. The worrying thing is the treasury, Governor of BOE and Boy George are as bad. Makes you wonder where our economy would be now if we'd had competent people in charge the past 6 years. Carneys a busted flush, he should step down now . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Andy Townsend said this morning that players don't hand transfer requests in unless they know a club wants them and they want to go there . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It's a bit exaggerated that the op states "saving them". They were promoted on the understanding that they had to get their ground in order by the deadline or be relegated, they're not going bust. From what I understand they thought Eddie Mitchell was going to cough up as he had an option to buy 51% of the club , he's dropped out so they're panicking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Good job they did isn't it. We now may get corrupt coppers jailed and a light shone on the establishment cover up. I've been to Liverpool many times and not just for football , have worked with plenty of them and I've met a higher % of twts in Southampton. I bet half their end was filled with non Liverpudlians anyway. It's a fantastic city so don't understand the pathetic posts on this thread running them down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
