    Educate yourself man…..
  2. BBC following itv’s lead. Their biggest game, Arsenal V Liverpool. Male only pundits, co commentary & presenter. Saving the birds for Burnley v Fulham I guess.
  3. There you go. Big game on itv today and no bird to be seen. Strange isn’t it, almost as if deep down they know blokes that have played the mens game are better analysts.
  4. I managed to obtain secret footage of the CoT Xmas bash.
  5. I don’t know how the have the “balls” to give their opinions when sat next to some brilliant players, id be intimidated knowing I was a shite player. I also love the way some of those players go ott with their responses to what the birds say. Jamie Redknapp is by far the worst “good point”, & nodding like a fucking dog when they say anything. They maybe getting better for all I know, because the last couple of weeks the off button is deployed when they’re on. Luckily, I don’t miss the analysis of the big games, because if you notice on sky, the big games tend to be blokes only.
  6. Mens football is for everyone, I don’t get this argument that because you don’t want to see a dopey bird analyst, you’re somehow trying to keep the game male dominated & them out of it. I can’t believe anyone can have a problem when a bird presents football shows. In principle commentators can be either sex, but there just aren’t any birds that are tolerable to listen to. It’s not sexist, but just like I wouldn’t want to listen to Brian Blessed or Alan Carr commentary, I’m yet to hear a bird doing so that doesn’t have me reaching for the mute button. Where Barton is spot on is in the analysis. Personally, if I want him a championship game, I want somebody who has played or managed at that level as co commentator or analyst, same with premier league, champions league etc. Its not sexist, I wouldn’t want Reg, the dog and duck centre half pointing out where Harry McGuire is going wrong. There’s absolutely no need to bring Fred & Rose into it, that devalues his argument. But his basic point is 100% right. There is an agenda, and it’s not going away. I take the option that will be becoming more and more popular. I turn it on for the start of the game & turn it off at half time and the end.
  7. Good luck with that approach.
  8. It’s unbelievable. A certain % of people will be on the fiddle but they will have had years and years of records. They’ll know the numbers that were sacked or prosecuted previously as well as the monies involved & the %’s related to turnover. If they’d had issues with a handful each year, you’d have thought alarm bells would ring if it suddenly jumped massively after Horizon was installed. It beggars belief that professional auditors went into many PO’s & still came away convinced the postmaster owed them money. The whole thing stinks, and I reckon we only know the tip of the iceberg.
  9. It’s a bloody racket. Had dogs for years and never insured them. It gets more and more expensive with less and less cover the older they get. All I do is self insure. Get a quote when they’re young, save that premium amount each month & you’ll have a pot of money for any issues. Unless you’re unlucky you’ll have enough without needing rip off pet insurance. Somebody once told me pet insurance has the largest % of refused claims out of any policies, and that certainly wouldn’t surprise me.
  10. What a load of old pony. Apart from full back, the Keeper has changed the most, because strikers are totally different 😂. You’re all over the place….
  11. Good point. How did we get on in the other games he did it?
  12. Whether this was a point won, or 2 lost, will become apparent over the next few weeks. Taken in isolation, we should have won the game after going 1 up, but as part of a Xmas campaign nobody can seriously complain about the return. Most looked slightly leggy to me, not quite as sharp as the other festive games. Typical RussBall game, unless we find a top striker we’ll have plenty more performances like this.
  13. Don’t forget Stephens is captain, so he has to play every week. I believe it’s written into the new contract he signed. Lego doesn’t want to play him, he knows he doesn’t deserve to start, but he picks him anyway. What other reason is there? 🤷‍♀️
  14. Probably wants to get KWP further up the pitch. I don’t know why, but that’s not the point. The point is he picks what he thinks is the best team, trying to say he doesn’t think Stephens should be playing, but plays him anyway is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve read. I don’t like the bloke, but anyone who thinks he doesn’t pick what he believes is the best team on the day, needs to give their head a wobble. This isn’t a fucking pub team.
  15. Why else would he play him. Do you really think he’s thinking “I know Stephens shouldn’t be playing, but he’s the captain, he needs “shoehorning”in somehow” .Fuck me, some of you need to stop and think for a bit.
  16. Fuck me there’s some pony written about this on the thread. If anyone thinks Stephens is only playing because he’s captain or he’s being “shoehorned” into the side, needs to give their head a wobble. Lego played this way/side because he thought it was the best option today. Do people really think he knows Stephens shouldn’t be starting, but plays him anyway because he’s the captain. He’s not managing the under 12’s. If he doesn’t think JS should be in the side, he won’t be. He picks what he thinks is the best side.
  17. He gave the ball away in injury time which could easily have cost us the game. Until he stops giving the ball away cheaply he won’t play regularly.
  18. I don’t know why some people are moaning, this is the way we play.
  19. 😂😂 Now you’re getting ridiculous.
  20. I bet he’d have talked to Eddie Izzard if she’d turned up on Friday.
  21. At the end of the day he’s an average championship keeper who is excellent with his feet. Personally, I’d prefer an excellent shot stopper who is average with his feet, as I think we’d have more points. I don’t need stats or any other modern pony to form an opinion, I can see it with my own eyes. There’s too many goals against this season that he could have done better with (and last season he was a fucking disaster), particularly with long range efforts. Maybe this can be coached out of him, but its a weakness known about since pre Saints days. As Watford showed us, he doesn’t seem to be getting any better with this yet.
