You might not like Galloway’s politics, but he’s more charismatic than 99.9% of the HoC.

Aribo has looked good lately, Smallbone has been pony. Bree played well Weds, Manning didn’t. Adam Armstrong has been fucking pony lately. We’ll know at 5 whether this is the right side, but on paper it doesn’t look right to me. -
He’s all over the place. Moaning about “culture wars” whilst fighting one post by post (🤡 he’s now lumping Galloway in with his other bogeymen). Moaning about Galloway & the ex Labour candidate, when they both share his opinion of Israeli/Hamas situation. According to him “the downside of democracy” seems to be people voting for someone he doesn’t like.

Unless it’s Nathan Jones?

Tony Blair relaxed the rules to encourage turnout, but it’s rife for fraud. Particularly with well organised “community leaders” & wives that are dominated by their husbands.

Galloway pretty much shares your opinion on Jews.

What a load of old pony. Every team in the league is trying to do what other teams don’t want them to do. Personally, I think playing the same way week in week out, is exactly what other teams want us to do. Before they send one scout to watch us, before they watch one video, they know exactly the way we’ll play. Now I know planning your tactics around the opposition seems to be above Lego, but I’d have thought opposition managers would prefer the absolute certainty of how we’ll play, rather than spend the week working on different scenarios depending on our set up. They might not be able to stop us, as they might not have good enough players. But being able to work on stopping us play, safe in the knowledge that you won’t get a surprise match day, is a real plus at this level imo. -
Fucking don’t talk to me about councils 😡. The merger of Poole Council with Bournemouth & Christchurch has been an absolute disaster for Poole. They were a well run council that provided decent services & charged reasonable rates. Now we’re on the brink of bankruptcy, council tax has gone up ridiculously & any money they do spend is being spent on Bournemouth. Even in the last couple of days they’ve announced they’re not funding long standing summer events in Poole, the Poole beach hut rents are being brought in line with Bournemouth’s (in other words going up horrendously). The Christmas lights were a fucking joke, whereas Bournemouth had displays in the gardens & markets/entertainment etc. The thing that really boils my piss, is nobody got a vote on it. Christchurch council even opposed the merger, but the Government over ruled it. We’ve been well and truly screwed over by our larger neighbour who have always wanted the nicer parts of Poole to gradually drift into becoming part of Bournemouth. Fucking rant over….

I think they do if the original game was scheduled for TV

I think it’s a question of getting the away fans into a corner as well. That being the case, their proposal is the only viable option.

Smallbone was excellent for the first 70mins yesterday, so I’d leave him in that role for the full 90. Bree has to come in regardless of whether KWP is fit or not. Aribo has to start & so does SA. Fuck Mara off for Che, put Brookes in for one of the wide men. Not convinced by Charles yet, so if Downes is unfit that could be an issue. Personally, I liked Rothwells urgency first half at Liverpool , but I guess that’s the SA role as opposed to a more defensive position. On the basis of not tinkering around too much, I’d probably stay with Charles (in the event of Downes being out), but he needs to start producing a bit more and stop giving the fucking ball away. -

First half we were excellent, some really good passing & I thought Rothwell & Aribo played really well. The difference was once we broke the press we went through the middle third really quickly. I guess it was because they came at us rather than sit back, but there was urgency and pace. Clearly we missed some real decent chances as we lack real quality in the most important area. Second half was a shit show. Particularly after the substitutions, absolutely woeful changes that made us even worse. I just didn’t get them. Our wide men who did ok were taken off & Mara (who should have come off) pushed out wide & Adam A who was atrocious. Smallbone, enough said, he’s fucking pony. -
We’ve been in the top flight pretty much most of the past 50 years, and during that time we were as respected every bit as we are now, if not more. I don’t recall anyone asking why we can’t play like we did in the early 80’s, people understand that ship has sailed. People are entitled to criticise the style of football if they don’t like. Fuck me, you appear to be saying we should be grateful we’re 4th in Division 2. My opinion, shared by others, is most of the time this style of football is fucking tedious and dull. At times it can be boring watching Man C & Arsenal play similarly, so I can’t imagine what watching Ryan Manning or Smallbone mincing around does to people. The bloke was brought in to get us promoted, if he does so, then the end justifies the means, results are the be all and end all in this league. But fuck me, it’s hard work watching it at times.

Was there justification for flattening Hiroshima and Nagasaki . These things happen in war. Had 7/10 not happened, Gaza wouldn’t be a pile of rubble & a lot more people would be alive.
-
His level is clearly The Championship. I wouldn’t bet against Charlton going up next season, would you?
-
Not really. The accusation was that i was “nowhere to been seen on the forum”. Admittedly, I haven’t spent any time double checking my posting history (fortunately I can leave that boring task to others) , but I’m pretty sure there were plenty of posts on plenty of different threads. I didn’t realise the match day thread was the only one that counts and failure to post on that after a win, makes you a Skate. Rest assured, win lose or draw I will post my pony on said thread in future.

My posting history is there for everyone to see. I posted just as much during the past 4 months as I’ve always done. Other than that, good point well made…

This is what SAF said about shaking hands with Rafa “ Normally we shake hands. I was waiting to shake hands because I have education” About Rio Ferdinand after John Terry had allegedly racially abused his brother “ Rio has been fighting racism for many years and the lad must rise above it. It doesn't detract from anything to shake John Terry's hand.”. About facing Suarez after he’s racially abused a Utd player. “It is nothing to be ashamed of. There is not a problem shaking hands.” Thats a bloke who hated losing. Mind you, he’d probably change his tune if he’d been subjected to a second division keeper time wasting. 😂😂.

Exactly. There’s a world of difference between hating losing & being a bad loser with no class. I’m sure Bobby Robson hated losing as much as Lego head, but I’ll bet my life he’d shake an opposing players hand. It’s incredibly rare for managers to not do so. People who actually despise losing always seem to shake opposing players hands. Some mangers will kick their granny to get a win, but they’d still shake hands with her at the end. Just shows that for all his David Brent like pony, he can’t handle a little bit of pressure.

Neville is a twat, but he was right about Chelsea bottling it. They had Liverpool on the ropes at the end of normal time, but were very passive in extra time. Klopp defo seemed to do a better job in the break before the extra 30. personally, I don’t get the hype over Cole Palmer or Gallagher and they both reinforced that opinion today. Gallagher missed a sitter & a couple of decent chances, and Palmer disappeared as the game wore on.

Sad news. Really good player & a decent manager. Had an impossible task following Lawrie, but did extremely well in the circumstances which wasn’t really appreciated at the time. RIP Chris, one of the good guys.
