Best thing so far - the angels have outdone the policewomen.

Salvation - are the Stone Roses next too much to hope for?

I never thought I'd be pleased to see the Spice Girls. Thanks a lot Russell Brand.

British music icons though, really?

I've tried to wipe the Russell Brand thing from my memory already.

This. I mean, One Direction FFS.

I dunno, I always get the impression she'd give an overly aggressive critique of my performance.

I've hated this so far - seems like the athletes agree, everytime there is an aerial shot the union jack is emptying.

Both dreadful, wouldn't imagine either were in the top 1000 of transfer targets.

I went to the technical rehearsal on Wednesday and thought it was excellent - far better than what I was expecting although I am not sure how it will come across on TV. It did a pretty good job of celebrating Britain imo.

Ah Bob Beech, I remember that Barry from Eastenders lookalike being interviewed on Sky just before we played those DSB's in the cup when they were Premier League and we were in "little" League One. The interviewer mentioned the "big" game and with great arrogance Beech said something along the lines of "its not a big game for us but its is for them". Now Bob didn't seem quite so cocky when I saw him again on Sky recently putting up some pathetic plaque about the death of P***ey and practically blubbing - how things change Bob, WTFILN?

Lol is an over-used phrase but that genuinely made me lol.

do not feed

We should have a competition, how many songs can you remember from the medley? We need something to get the crowd pumped up - other clubs seem to do it a lot better than us.

It seems to me to be crap irrespective of whether the stadium is full or empty - the pre-recorded interviews are a waste of time although in fairness you can see them on saintsplayer anyway. I hope they change the pre-match music, that bloody awful medley that includes "recent" classics such as "my Sharona" hardly gets the fans going pre-match. Needs updating.

His lack of involvement yesterday suggest he is surplus to requirements.

Le Tiss last goal against Arsenal at the Dell, Crouch's last minute pen against the skates in the cup and Camara in the last minute 4-3 against Norwich, I had it at 100-1.

I seem to recall a couple of wingers in the mid 90's that played a handful of times, seemed to have some kind of potential, but then completely disappeared - Russ Watkinson was one, was the other Andy/Andrew Williams?

Uli Van Gobbel - great fun watching other players bounce off him. I didn't think he was too bad but meh.

Excellent, any inside info on Buttner - on or off?

Surprisingly not in most cases (under Clyne thread): http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=105&fid=1

They appear to rate Clyne really really highly and are not happy with the £1.5 million being quoted, were hoping for £3 million.

Sha la la la la la la la. If Carlsberg did karma.....

Was in the home end when we lost 7-2 at Tottenham - couldn't help celebrating when we went 1-0 and then 2-1 up and got a truckload of verbals both times. By half time we were 4-2 down and the second half was the longest 45 minutes of my life. I would have left at 5-2 but I was there with a Tottenham supporting customer so had to sit through it. One thing that did stick in my mind was their fans still moaning when they were winning 6-2.

When he took over I was just happy to still have a team to support let alone even dream we would be in the Premier League 3 years later. As Turkish said, tinged with sadness that Markus is not here to see it - "thanks" doesn't even begin to cover it.
