The thing I don't get with the tax system is why it has to be so complicated. What is the point of NI? Why not simply combine this with income tax and for that matter instead of council tax have a local income tax, less admin costs. What is the point in taxing people only to give the money back in the form of tax credits, child allowance etc. There is too much money given back to people who don't need it, at least cutting child benefit has addressed that to a certain extent, and yes that will hit me but I regard it as fair. I saw one article that said for the winter fuel payment for pensioners only 10% of payments went to pensioners in real need, what a waste of money.

I think we might make the play-offs but then the pressure on the team will be massive, so massive that we will fail and spend another season in L1. IMHO of course.

We've got great competition for places now. Someone like Seaborne knows he's got to perform, one bad game and Martin will come in. Same thing applies virtually across the whole team with one or two exceptions.

Unfortunately he had a 'mare' 1st half against Bmth, Harding replaced him at half-time. I think that may of knocked his confidence a bit. I'm sure he'll get his chance at some point, personally I think he could be better than Harding.

No they won't, that is the whole point. Fees will not be payable up front, neither by the student or their parents. They will only become payable when the graduate starts earning over £22,000 pa. If they never earn this much then they will not have to pay back a penny.

When I was about 12 years old a mate and I found some money outside Dean Court (AFCB, sorry!!) after a game. We handed it in to someone inside the ground. Next thing, our school head read the letter out in Assembly, we kept schtum, didn't want to end up as feckin prefects.

No point blaming the Tories (yet), this was an independent review launched last year by the Labour government. The figures do sound worrying though. To say 'you need a degree to get anywhere in the world these days' is complete bollix, plenty of people do very well without going to university.
