  1. I haven't got time to go back through the records but I thought the BVI loan was now quantified at around £4m. *edit* It was £5.6m in September 2012 so a chunk of it will have been paid off by now, if not all.
  2. He has a "Fixed Term" contract until 2015. Managers aren't players, they're not governed by the PFA rules and don't have transfer fees. I'm sure he'll sign a new one when this one runs out, either with Saints or with somebody else. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he doesn't sign anything this year and just carries on to honour his current contract. I don't have twitter or facebook, so I don't get agitated because the Board aren't keeping me up to date every 5 minutes with what they're thinking.
  3. Tory. You forgot Tory.
  4. ...and how much commission does the agent get if the player doesn't move during the transfer window?

    Slingbox

    Anybody use one?
  6. You've heard the one about the scouser that popped into the paper shop on the way to work on a quiet Tuesday morning, and couldn't decide what paper to buy, haven't you?

    Giggs

No ways, mate. DD's absolutely top dog under "pressure". All the way down to about 97 fathoms.
  8. You forgot to mention the Malaysian Airlines plane. I don't think he mentioned that either.
  9. It may well be al lot less than that as well. The article states in one place "Almost one in 10 heads and senior staff who responded said ..." So replying was optional, and certainly possible that those with something to say would be a lot more likely to respond than those with nothing to say. Another case of a media organisation trying to create news rather than just report it.
  10. Maybe because the question was "do you think you'll be on the plane to Brazil?"
  11. So let me se if I've got this right then. Owners, directors, managers, players and fans would all prefer to keep what we've got and add a few more quality players in the summer, but nobody knows what will actually happen. Is that it?
  12. To be fair to everybody posting here, as I see it it's the News and their resident halfwit Allen that is creating the deliberate muddling of causes. It's him that calls it a charity event, not the bike riders. Good cause? Partly, yes. Charity event? Not really, no.
  13. As a kid in the 60's and early 70's I always had an old "Bush" type valve radio in my bedroom. I remember them well. (Southampton nil was one of the numbers I remember hearing very frequently back in those days)
  14. So where do you draw the line then? If 50/50 is OK what about 10% to fulfill the dying wishes of terminally ill children, and 90% to subsidise Ian's champagne bill. Is that OK too?
  15. Nonsense. He'll be looking for a new job just as soon as he's finished counting his compensation pay-off, sometime in 2017.

    Graphene

Can we make "Drip Dry Bri-Nylon" shirts from it?
  17. It was the hope that finally got me.
  18. ...or maybe most people here give stuff off twitter the credibility it deserves.
  19. To be fair mate, the system is devised to give you reward for buying tickets to games. If you keep insisting on buying tickets for your mates, then those mates will always have problems getting tickets
  20. Is that just yer basic, or does it include "bonuses" as well, 'Arry?
  21. No it isn't. The underlying theme is that we have suddenly discovered that we are carrying a surprisingly large level of debt, and that it is causing problems at the company. In my very humble opinion, we aren't and it isn't. I think pretty much every football club in the land would be more than happy to swap their debt and income with ours. I am also very pleased that we decided to spend more on the training facilities. With our reputation, I'm astonished that anybody could think otherwise.
  22. Not yet, but just how many followers does a tweet actually need to give it truth.
  23. I'll take a nice comfortable armchair in the bath and shower section. And some popcorn.
  24. And just to keep things in perspective if the current is moving at 1kt any floating debris will now be 1,000 miles from the point of impact.
