  1. I see one of the indictments against Maduro is "possession of machine guns". Crazy stuff.
  2. Here's one Nic can defo laugh at. If you take this picture: and ask Musk's AI to remove the paedo, the prostitute and the racist, you get this:

They paid a Premier League price. Unless we get back in the Prem there is little incentive to sell. If revenues drop sharply they will look to cut costs, before looking to sell. I mean, yeah, maybe in an extreme scenario they decide to cut their losses, but I can't see that happening unless we are essentially insolvent.
  4. Maybe there was an element of luck at Brentford. Maybe an element of bad luck here. There are so, SOOO, many variables that it is retarded to think that he found some top strategy that was a differentiator. People make this mistake all the time in life, business, etc. "Well, this worked, so it must be a good plan" is not sound logic at an individual level in complex systems with huge, unmanageable variables. People make the same mistake when they look at billionaires and say, "what 'x' did must be a recipe for success". Doubt it, mate! 'x' is probably a developmentally stunted, weirdo who had an almost pathological obsession with something and pursued it in ways which were quite destructive. For every successful 'x' there are 99 utter losers. If anything, it's likely a recipe for failure, not success. In summary, he's not as clever as he thinks he is.
  5. What's funny, Nic? What aspects of Thiel and Musk's behaviour do you think contradicts this thesis? What part of Trump's political vision do you think stands in contrast?
  6. This is quite an interesting discussion for people who want to understand how Trump is a useful patsy for those who actually have a political agenda that extends further than "what's in it for me?". Edit: it's also worth reading up on Musk's grandfather.

There's zero chance we remove the owners, but we can at least make them feel more accountable and, hopefully, have them reassess how they are doing things.
  8. Can't stand the twat.

Yes, all we needed this year was to get a steady, reliable manager in, who knows success at this level. You don't need to be clever to get out of the Champ, you need to be resilient and organised and to focus on what is effective. The players then make the difference, and when you have just been relegated you should be better stocked with players and richer than most of the other teams.
  10. Would take administration, I think.

In hindsight, it's hard not to have some sympathy for Martin considering our summer signings to fire us to Premier League success included Flynn Downes, Ryan Fraser, Ben Brereton Diaz and Cameron Archer.

That's the spirit. But it needs to come from a committee.

I already don't go, so that's me in. How about a big sign or something too?

Obviously I'm not going to organise anything, but what shall we do, lads? Solak needs a loud and clear message that the idiotic pissing around needs to stop.
  20. Apparently Sam Allardyce has been appointed as interim President until the end of the year.
  21. I'd rather have Bragg any day.
  22. I will. Plenty of times he's been in space but we are too slow to get him the ball. That said, Azaz is having a decent game and so would Fellows be if he hadn't spaffed two good chances.
