  1. Yeah, their attacking options are very good with plenty of variety. Anderson Snodgrass Arnautovic Antonio Hernández Carroll (occasionally) A bit of everything there - trickery, pace, power, finishing. They should be competing for 7th.
  2. Probably the best drug-taking ever. Certainly wasn't smocking it. Winning bigly.
  3. You reckon? If we've got a manager who wants to play a high-intensity, aggressive defensive strategy and likes to get the ball forward quickly in transition, and our only other fit strikers are Austin and Gabbi, I would say it's quite a big loss.
  4. The decent half!
  5. Yes, I agree. I think 32 or 33 should be enough to stay up, provided we don't keep giving 3 points to the likes of Cardiff and Fulham. I would say 7 wins and a few draws should hopefully be enough, or 6 wins and a bunch of draws. The old 40 point mantra is bull. We've got Cardiff, Fulham, Huddersfield, Wolves, Palace to play at home plus Burnley and Newcastle away. At some point we will beat a mid-table team too. So it's doable, although we don't have much margin for error left.

    Oriol Romeu

He's certainly a more likeable character than a lot of the others. It would be great to keep Romeu, Armstrong, Yoshida, Stephens and Bednarek if we went down. Throw in a couple of the academy players and one or two decent signings and we might actually have a likeable team.
  7. The true dawn of a golden era.
  8. I would use it pretty much daily. From some forums, most of the people who have had problems with them seem to be the occasional users who keep the car stuck in a garage for months on end. Think you need to be careful what options are on it too. There was an option for ceramic brakes on some of the models. Whilst they are apparently excellent brakes, it's £12k(!!!) to replace a set. The 2018 models are the last in production too, I think, so I'm not sure if that means it will become more sought after and value will hold well, or if loads of existing owners will try to trade in when Maserati release the replacement in a couple of years and cause values to drop.
  9. Nissan GTR a bit too lairy in image really, although I'm sure it would be great fun to drive!
  10. Come off it. "won't be going anywhere anytime soon" means he'll be around a lot longer than a week. And if the contact (exists and) is a player then, as you say, they wouldn't know anyway what Goa or Ralphy K were up to and so there is no justification for making emphatic statements of the sort quoted. Now, that doesn't mean he doesn't have a player contract but I'll reserve judgement for now. #theitkbusiness
  11. Benjii's Brexit Predictions (as of 12/12/18): - May wins confidence vote - May attends a number of discussions with EU. Discussions conclude that greater clarity around backstop arrangements would be beneficial for all but that there is not time to conclude the text this year or sufficiently in advance of leave date - UK and EU agree six month "stay" of leaving date - Slightly clearer deal agreed in the Spring - Parliament votes through deal before summer recess - UK leaves EU in September - May stands down before next general election - PM Boris
  12. It would present a credible (possibly), alternative. As it is, they offer nothing. The SNP is the only credible opposition party in the House at the moment.
  13. That's what every PM in history has done. Effective opposition still lands blows and boosts support. Corbyn was pathetic today.
  14. On today of all days, Corbyn gets mullered at PMQ. Utterly inept all round.
  15. If I was to bet on this, or him having thrown a wobbly, I would be betting on this.
  16. Oh, definitely. Poor man's Timo Werner!
  17. **** knows. Is there a "moderate" Tory that can achieve some unity? Looks like pretty slim pickings. An MP on the radio this morning was talking up Raab. Christ. JRM won't go for it. Could Boris sneak it? He would probably have to reassure enough remainers he won't countenance "no deal". If he did then maybe remainers could get comfortable with a leave-PM on the basis that they are satisfying the referendum result. If May is toppled then I actually think there ought to be a revocation of Article 50 and a general election. The parties than set out their manifesto for resolving the EU question. If a party gets elected on a "leave" manifesto they can just serve Article 50 notice again. This is what should have happened after the referendum anyway, seeing as no major party was actually in favour of leaving.
  18. I think attack is the best form of defence for this one. Arsenal may be somewhat makeshift at the back and we will have had a full week of training to work on shape, pressing triggers etc. Bad news if Bertrand is done with us, as Targett doesn't have the engine to get up and down sufficiently. If we assume Ralph wants the 4222 and that Ings, Obafemi and Long are injured then I'd go with: -------------Redmond--------Gabbi------------- ---------Lemina--------------------Armstrong -----------Romeu-----Heeyoibee-erg-------- Cedric----Yoshida----Bednarek----Stephens ---------------------McCarthy---------------------------
  19. 48 letters received by Graham Brady. Leadership contest to be announced tomorrow. Prime Minister Rees-Mogg.
  20. What does "well before" mean? Couple of hours? A day? Months?
  21. Incredible! So excited. #v-sign

  23. I think it's the following: - he hasn't had much of a run of games, so people aren't sure; - he seems pretty solid but doesn't have a stand-out attribute.
  24. I get the impression Gao might have found something behind the sofa. I think the dismissal of Reed and Hughes has come from Gao and hopefully he will back it up with some cash in Jan.
  25. Haha. Well that's that then. The Kingsland 2 have spoken.
