That's clearly not going to happen if we stay in the PL. You've just sold every single central midfielder. I think likely departures if we stay up would be: Forster Cedric Pied (out of contract I think?) Bertrand Gardos Clasie Gabbiadini Carillo (loan probably) I can't see us getting good enough offers for Redmond, Austin, Long etc. to make it worth selling. If we moved on the above then we would need to sign: GK One or two right backs Centre back (to improve what we have rather than replace) Striker Ideally we would also sign the Promes-type player we were looking at to improve on current support forward options.

10 points will give us more than a decent chance of survival IMO. If offered 9 points now I would take it.
-
For the Championship I would say he's perfectly good enough for us not to waste money or time looking for a better replacement. If we stay up then in an ideal world we would shift Forster and sign some proper competition for McCarthy.

That's usually extra.

Use the Saints Dating sub-forum for this sort of thing, mate.

Nearly £100m worth of 'Talent' not on the pitch yesterday

Probably about £400 - 450k I expect! -
Wanyama has been fine but there is ample evidence on here of Simo's player-judging ability! Serge Aurier, on the other hand, is consistently dreadful.
-
None of our remaining opponents apart from Swansea have anything to play for.
-
Failing to win a single match this season against Stoke, Brighton, Huddersfield and Swansea has screwed us right over. Hopefully we can get Swansea off that list.

And some hay and a nose bag? Lol!!11

Carroll is underrated. I'd take him to the world cup. Impact sub innit.

Squeaky bum time for West Ham. I wonder what odds a Brighton and Swansea double to go down.

It's a tricky one. I think probably a WHU win but, perversely, I think I'd prefer a Stoke win to a draw. If WHU then lose the next two, as they may well do, they might be bricking it. A point drags them further to safety and also means it's less likely Stoke will have anything to play for against Swansea.
-
What result do people want tonight then? Stoke, played 33, points 27. WHU, played 32, points 34. Fixtures: Stoke - Burnley (h), Liverpool (a), Palace (h), Swansea (a). WHU - Arsenal (a), Man City (h), Leicester (a), Man Utd (h), Everton (h)

I don't think anyone seriously believes the Saudis are undertaking a genocide in Yemen, do they? Saudi actions - whether right or wrong - are driven in this example by a fear of Iran.
-
Yeah, case in point when Hojbjerg hit a terrible first time "pass" straight out of play for a throw in shortly before one of the goals. He had time for a touch and to get his head up.

I'm not against drumming per se but they were very quiet when they were by the Northam and looked unsure of the point. It sounded like they struck up a sort of calypso carnival beat from the Chapel end soon after Chelsea scored the third, which was rather odd. If they're going to do it then get them up the top of the Northam / Kingsland or Itchen block and tell them to ****ing belt it out.

And was a difficult chance even if he hadn't been offside.

I categorically guarantee that 43 points will easily be enough. I expect it would be enough for 11th or 12th place. 35 points and a not-too-awful goal difference may be enough.
-
Well, it is, in the sense that if we end up with 43 points the chances of staying up are probably something like 99%.

Jesus Christ.

We'll be down by then if we haven't won one or two before so that's slightly odd logic IMO, although clearly it could be crucial. Incidentally, Swansea's last match is against Stoke! We need to get 5 or 6 points from the next three matches to give ourselves a chance.
-
Absolutely. Our goals for is not disastrous for a bottom half team. In fact it's the same as Burnley's (shows what a dour division we are getting relegated from when they're seventh). We have been in the lead in loads of matches.

The more I think about this, the more annoying it is.
