-----------------------GK------------------------- Martina----Yoshida--VVD-----McQueen ------------------------Romeu------------------------ -------------Clasie--------------JWP--------------- ------------------------Tadic------------------------- --------Long-----------------------Redmond------ You can call that a 433 if you like, or a diamond formation. What is noticeable is the lack of a focal-point striker. Tadic played well though.

There was a nice, recently registered, BMW i8 leaving promptly at the end of the game. Fact!

Yes. #itk

I think I can feel how this is going to end. FFS!

To my mind, Rolex, Breitling and the like are ugly. Big, crude, ugly dollops of unrefined metal. The sort of overpriced tat you flog to perma-tanned car dealers / golf-club bores and the like who wouldn't know class if it rimmed them.

Aye, although that Spurs team has achieved **** all. Man U need to win trophies or it's a failure. I'm not saying the Pogba deal is a good one, but there's no point comparing Man U, one of the world's largest sports clubs, to a humdrum third place Spurs side.

The New Formation Thread : The Puel 4-4-2 Diamond
benjii replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Agree with those saying we need another striker if we're going to play a front two regularly (assuming Gallagher, Olomola or Seagar isn't going to suddenly become Prem class). The strength of our team at the moment is certainly defence. If you had to list our five best players, I think you would include Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand and Forster. Maybe Tadic gets in but that's a slightly unbalanced squad. One really quality attacking signing would be welcome and surely isn't unrealistic? -
Can he do it at Crawley Town on a cold Tuesday night?

I dunno. That would be a pretty short-termist reason for a player to join Leicester. They aren't going to be qualifying again any time soon. It's not like joining a European heavyweight where you will get the chance to test yourself in CL year on year. It will probably come down to wages, largely, not the chance of a couple of group games against a Spanish/German team.

But it's true isn't it? Who has ESTABLISHED themselves in the England side whilst playing for Saints, or any other similar club? Sure, Lambert, Lallana, Bertrand, Forster, Rodriguez have got the odd cap but none of them is established. Bertrand is probably the best English left back other than Shaw but he's behind Rose because Rose plays at Tottenham, Super Tottenham, Super Tottenham, from the Lane. Lallana only became an established starter this season, after moving to Liverpool. Likewise, Clyne - although he then got dropped for Walker for some reason. Someone else mentioned Drinkwater. He got a cap or two but was left out altogether for Henderson and Wilshere; two players who were not exactly fit. Here's our typical starting 11 from the summer: Hart (Man City) Walker (Spurs) Smalling (Man U) Cahill (Chelsea) Rose (Spurs) Dier (Spurs) Alli (Spurs) Rooney (Man U) Lallana / Sturridge (Liverpool) Sterling / Sturridge (Man City, Lpool) Kane (Spurs) So, basically, no one outside the "big clubs" (plus media favourites, Spurs) has established themselves in the England side. That despite Leicester winning the league and Saints and West Ham finishing above Liverpool and Chelsea. Maybe that's just a coincidence and maybe Roy's selections were the best available to him but the premise that if you want to establish yourself in the England side you'd better join a "big" club looks pretty solid. Are you telling me Forster wouldn't have a better chance of ousting Hart if he played for Liverpool?

Trump won't win. He has virtually zero support from women and ethnic minorities in most of the key swing states. Even if he does win, he's less dangerous than Cruz IMO.
-
I haven't even got email.

Targett out on loan for a season to a decent club with a good manager makes a lot of sense IMO. Would also explain why we seem to have been targeting a "utility" sort of player in Pied who could perhaps cover on either full back slot.

On my Android phone, this site is now unusable over Wi-Fi. OK over 4g though.

All that gear is disgusting IMO. Awful clobber. Not that I would have bought it in any event, but that's my tuppence worth on the matter.

As with others, loads of redirects and dodgy pop-ups telling you to click various things. Not good!

It's a bloody awful kit. You've got to seriously question the sense of anyone who likes it. It's worse than the really ****e Cortese kits.
-
We had four guaranteed starters last season: Forster, Fonte, Virgil and Bertrand. Three of those have signed new, long contracts and one has just won the Euros. This is good! Just need one more quality forward and a GK and we're looking strong. Any more than that is a bonus really.

CONFIRMED: Graziano Pelle Joins Shandong Luneng - Undisclosed Fee (12-15M)

Without wishing to sound gay (which is fine, but I'm not a gay), I reckon he'll make a fortune from modelling and endorsements and whatnot over there. Italian number 9, plus decent looking chap etc... I can't blame him for wanting that sort of money and as others have said, he hasn't been making a fortune his whole career. For Saints, if the fee is £12million or so, as rumoured, then it also makes sense, particularly if Puel wants pacier options upfront. -
That's brilliant. Fonte is a bona fire Saints hero. And Cedric surely deserves a good run in the team. Fantastic. Well done lads!

Arsenal Man City Chelsea Man U Liverpool Spurs Saints West Ham Stoke Palace Leicester Everton Swansea Sunderland West Brom Middlesboro Bournemouth Watford Hull Burnley Fact.

Are you joking? Half the league is so-so. The quality last season was dreadful. It will be better this season in the top quarter with the decent managerial appointments that have been made but when you've got the likes of Bournemouth, Watford and West Brom staying up comfortably you've got a complete so-so of a league.
-
I actually think it would be good if loads of Shenanigans emailed and tweeted to tell the club what a crap idea this is. If it's discretionary, then we should be out.
-
I think all the new kits are horrid. But I have known they look like that for a while so got used to it. They are still horrid though. And the training kit is even worse.
