FFS people. We're talking about a few pence each. It will not help! It will be the biggest ****-take ever. How would you have felt if they'd done it to us last season? You'd be completely gutted!

Sorry guys, haven't read the thread so the chances are I'm repeating something someone has said but for what they're worth, here's my thoughts on the match!... Seabourne - very impressed. Much better on the ball than I expected and looks like a good acquisition. Jaidhi may still be a better defender but I can see some sense in playing Seabourne alongside Fonte against a team like Stockport as Seabourne offers more in the way of distribution and these two have the makings of a formidable pairing next season. In fact our defence next season could be very good indeed if we sort out the RB slot, which leads me on to.... Semi - early days so won't slate him but I haven't seen anything to make me think he's better than James or Thomas. In fact I'd say Thomas is a much better defender on yesterday's evidence. JO seems to switch off mentally which leads to him standing off people or being caught out of position. He's fast but that's the only real attribute I saw. Hope he improves. Midfield - Antonio was our best player and Holmes was decent. Wotton tried to drive us on in the first half when most players looked half asleep. Morgan was great once we scored but innefectual before then. Papa - what an impact. Why this guy hasn't played more is a complete mystery to me. He is not a League One standard player. Much better than that. Barnard - Reminds me a bit of Ormerod. Missed a good chance with a header and will be disappointed not to have scored but I thought his movement was pretty good and he makes himself available in front of the defender well which should help reduce our tendency to lump it to Lambert. The performance wasn't great but we won and kept a clean sheet which I guess is all that matters. Will need to play much better than that though in the coming weeks.

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints
benjii replied to Somewhere In Northam's topic in The Saints
Wotton / Hammond -- Schneiderlin / James Waigo/Ant----------Lallana------------Puncheon ------------------Lambo------------------ Looks good to me! -
Are you people all a bit silly? It wouldn't help them one jot. It would be the ultimate ****-take. It should happen.

A properly organised bucket collection and a giant cheque would be just about the funniest thing in football (apart from PFC that is).

Oh Christ, not one of these threads.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8450987.stm Interesting to see we had more efforts on goal than them. Didn't sound like that. I'd also entirely forgotten we hit the woodwork twice. A very disappointing second half but not a dire result.

To what? It's public so tell us.

A question I can't figure out the answer to. Our best bet on the wing and our best bet to partner Lambert in games like tonight's IMO.
-
See, this is exactly the problem with his game. He is not dynamic and in a 4-4-2 just sits there hoping to ping passes around.. He has hardly ever got an assist, hardly ever been one of the most influential players in a game and never scored a goal in all the matches I have seen. When we play 4-4-2 it's like we only have one real central midfielder when he plays. Against MK Dons the other night he was far better because he obviously had clear instructions about where to play (ie in front of the other two). I don't doubt his potential but IMO he still frustrates consistently. Maybe our new midfielder will be someone who really compliments him.
-
Fine and possibly true, but that doesn't make those bad results. It just means our slow start will cost us.
-
What relevance is that? They have lost one home game all season. On paper this was a good, or at the very leat decent, point with regards to this season. In reality it feels annoying because we were winning. We were unlucky that James went off. Our two best central midfielders (James and Hammond) are now both injured. We need to sign a new one. Still, we hardly ever lose and are having a good season.
-
Didn't hear any evidence of that tonight. Now, I know the radio is not the best but Morgan is nowhere near consistent enough for a top 6 side IMO.
-
So Brentford have beaten Norwich at home. Something we haven't done in 90 mins on two occasions. They've also drawn with Leeds. Didn't realise that. They must be one of the best teams at home in the league. Tonight's result was pathetic, a disgrace, a turd through the letterbox of all fans, a wet fart in the trouser of respectability, a nervous fish in the sailor's chambers, etc.....

www.bbc.co.uk or www.saintsfc.co.uk or etc... Lazy git!

Did you read his post? 3rd over the last 8 games! I agree about the midfield - it is only decent when we outnumber the opposition there. This is fine but long-term I would like us to be more offensive.
-
We'd be 3 pts behind 6th place with a game in hand and a better goal difference.
-
Very annoying although a central midfield of Wotton and Schneiderlin is not likely to be good enough in many matches. Also, annoyed with Pardew's picks tonight. Waigo should have got much longer. Nevermind, we all make mistakes. No point squeeling like a spoilt girl.
-
Stop being a ****. Pardew picks the formation, not fans with opinions on a mesageboard. Although, they could all be idiots so fair enough actually.
-
Yeah, it's really starting to annoy me. The guy is better than most League One players but can hardly get a kick. In a game like this where we're struggling to retain possession, someone up top to stretch them and get us some territory would be ideal.. here he comes now. Two mins left!

Thomas---Jaidi----Fonte----Harding good defence. Semi-----Fonte---Seabourne---Mills pretty naff defence?
-
I guess I was thrown by your use of the word "ever" rather than "recently".
-
Gash.

Apart from all the easy wins we've had this season?
