I imagine that this went on in most games of the era. Most of them. I thought it was, and had been for some time, common knowledge that players deliberately booted the ball off straight away for spreadbetting purposes. I have certainly been aware that it happened for many years. So, no doubt in my mind that there were countless players and countless clubs involved. This doesn't make it right but it doesn't make MLT any worse than any of the other players involved (some of whom may have actually made a large profit and done it on several occasion) and it doesn't make SFC worse than any of those clubs. If that article is a fair appraisal of Pardew then it seems as though he has learnt something from the experience. He is criticised there for not getting the team solid and building from the back. Well, looking at our defence it's our best since we were in the Prem so congrats to him there. The goals will come and we will only need 1 or 2 to win most games.
