Is Norton gash then?

Our support is excellent. If we go on a winning streak we will see 23,000+ in SMS. It really is a crying shame how this club has been allowed to rot over the last 4 or 5 years. When you look at some of the pitiful outfits in the Premier League (Birmingham, Pompey, Blackburn, Bolton etc) I have no doubt that, now we have good ownership and management, we will be back in the mid-tier of the Premier League within 5 years.

Some of those old ones are pretty good. The quality of posts has mirrored both clubs' fortunes over the last two years though!

They're ****ing rank and anyone who likes them probably also likes wearing polyester or else is some contispated, angst wriddled, Special K eating, neurotic bint.

I imagine that this went on in most games of the era. Most of them. I thought it was, and had been for some time, common knowledge that players deliberately booted the ball off straight away for spreadbetting purposes. I have certainly been aware that it happened for many years. So, no doubt in my mind that there were countless players and countless clubs involved. This doesn't make it right but it doesn't make MLT any worse than any of the other players involved (some of whom may have actually made a large profit and done it on several occasion) and it doesn't make SFC worse than any of those clubs. MLT, if he is brought to book, will ultimately be the victim of his own honesty whilst the countless other players involved will get off freely. Now whether he's taken a calculated risk to add some interest to the book, whether he's been naive, whether he just wanted to own up... whatever, the fact is that this does nothing in my mind to tarnish him as a player and nor does it reflect negatively in any way on Southampton FC. Let's also note that neither the laws of football, nor its regulatory bodies, prohibited the practice at the time. Therefore the only case to answer is a criminal one, if at all.

Probably about 4-nil to us at least I would have thought.

National and reputable recovery specialist with a parent structure enabling external equity investment (unlike an LLP which the bulk of large recovery practitioners are) being tipped for a good year in the largest recession in living memory shocker You don't need to be Derren Brown to foresee that.

Not going. Can someone report back after as to whether the funny looking, skinny bird with the extraordinary knockers still works at The Antigalican. Thanks.

Webber and Smith. Wow.

If that article is a fair appraisal of Pardew then it seems as though he has learnt something from the experience. He is criticised there for not getting the team solid and building from the back. Well, looking at our defence it's our best since we were in the Prem so congrats to him there. The goals will come and we will only need 1 or 2 to win most games. We'll be heading up the League in no time. Well done Alan!

Absolutely. The "reveal" will be part of a trick. He'll make out there was some sort of mental process going on that enabled him to divine the numbers in some way..... when clearly it's a magic trick. I'm not decrying him by the way - he's an awesome performer and is able to draw people in. Sometimes too far (witness certain "maths" related posts on this thread )

Did Matt whack it straight into the trees off the first tee?
