  1. Isn't it known as "the Hayling Island of the Atlantic coast"?
  2. Who gives a **** if he could do a job in League One or not? He cost the best part of £1m and was on (apparently) about £8k a week. He should have done a job in the Championship. It's not his fault he's crap but... he is **** and can **** off.
  3. I imagine Lynham will be keeping something of a lower profile now. MLT has already come out and made a statement on those lines on behalf of "the Group" anyway. Fry won't be shouting about any potential hurdles whilst there are still other bidders around. Would be stupid to do so for many reasons. As for the last two paragraphs; who has said that? I certainly haven't. Talk about reading too much into things.... Look, I have no idea if the FL intend/want/have to deduct further points or not. What I do know is that if I was lobbing £14m at something, I would want certainty over what I was buying.
  4. Mr and Mrs Rich. By the way, that'll be Southampton, USA, I expect.
  5. Why? Because the Echo have misread a statement from the FL? I've no idea if the further deductions issue was important or not, but it certainly isn't clarified by this utterly pointless statement.
  6. Well, hang on a minute... The spokesman says the issue was a "waiver regarding sporting sanctions". This encapsulates the 10 points but also the other routes through which the FL could deduct points. It's hardly confirmation that the sole issue was the 10 points. Sounds like The Echo have failed to actually consider what the FL has said, which seems to be a fairly politico-banal statement.
  7. As long as it has "Southampton" in the name and isn't ridiculous (eg "Southampton LadyBoys", "Southampton Mincers" etc), they could call us whatever they want as far as I'm concerned. I suspect this is complete and utter guff in any case.
  8. Yes, but a CVA is a different thing. It is a mechanism for exiting/avoiding insolvency. The fact that the FL's rules demand one (apparently, I can't be arsed to actually check this point!) only goes to show that they clearly hadn't envisgaed our scenario when they drafted them. To be honest; I think this is a moot point as I would imagine that SFC Ltd could be sold follwing a pre-pack administration of its own. I may well be wrong. If there's no one with any cash interested then it certainly is all a moot point!
  9. SLH won't have a CVA - it will be wound up. No one wants to buy the PLC, they want to buy its assets.
  10. Good post. Singing a song about "kicking his ****ing head in", in public, in a family resort is loutish and embarassing behaviour whatever the motive.
  11. One thing you can be sure of with regards to the Swiss, if they are genuine: 1) They will not be posting scraps on here; 2) They will not be blabbing to the local loose-lips; 3) They will employ proper and reputable professional services firm(s) as necessary; 4) If they have a website it won't be updated on the back of criticism of its spelling/grammar on here; 5) They won't give a **** what The Echo decides to write about them.
  12. So when they said the goalposts were changed last Thursday do you think they were lying?
  13. Those idiot bucket shakers, scroungers and DIY-clubbers have tipped us over the edge. They must have wasted at least a couple of weeks with their happy-clappy toss.
  14. No.
  15. You numpty.
  16. Seriously, are you surprised? He was never going to take up bowls and enjoy his pension was he!?
  17. Trying not to..... but..... PMSL
  18. There is generally considered to be a certain legitimate public interest in protecting children from sexual abuse though.
  19. That is one, right?
  20. ...as a dodo.
  21. Wait for all the wailing and gnashing of teeth when the freak fans turn up at the hospital.
  22. LA Times were saying coma but have now opted for dead instead. I reckon he's dead.
