Oh my god. She's the one. I love her. Tell her I love her.

Can you explain this further please? What happens after 31 December then? Does the ban threshold increase? Cheers!

Pardew on hospital visit, supporters & players' social skills!

Lovely stuff. Who's the player on the far right of the group photo? Is it Kayne McClaggon? If so that settles the "is he 6ft 3?" debate once and for all! -
Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)
benjii replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Nah, it's irrelevant. -
I suspect Radio 5 will talk about this at some point tonight for those who are interested. They are also doing a feature on Stewart Hall which should be quite entertaining if they haven't got anything funny to report on the Blue Few.

That could work out better though... you never know. Might be better to have all 4 suspended against Leeds and lose that than to have key players missing over a succession of games. Obviously this is something that, over a league season, it is quite hard to manage but I wonder if players who get booked this Saturday could get their suspension out of the away against Norwich... hmmm!?

I can't think of any reason why Chris Perry wouldn't make a good right back - certainly in away games against decent sides. Likewise Wayne Thomas. At home there shouldn't be a problem with playing James. Whilst it would be good to have a permanent solution in place asap I think it might be left until next summer.

Same thing happened to me. Was walking along the street with my friend and two hot girls walking by asked us to go for a drink with them.... Great stuff! Bascially, Munich is great.

The key question is this: what assets are owned by Portsmouth Football Club (or more particularly, the corporate entity that owns the football club)? If they are looking to raise debt finance then that is what lenders will want to know. If they are looking to raise equity.... well, they've been looking for about two years and we all know who turned up! Certain reports have suggested that Gaydamak owns the land around Fratton Park but that if the debt to him is repaid, there is an option for Fahim to buy it from him? If PFC went into admin what assets could actually be sold? Or in other words, what would the person who bought the club be acquiring. It seems like the answer is the players and Fratton Park itself (lol). Relegation would be a certainty with a 9 point penalty so you're not getting a Premiership franchise with that. Who would you have to strike a deal with to purchase the club? In other words, who are the creditors? Well, apparently football related debts are around £8m and as we all know you have to settle them in full otherwise the league wont let you play. £33m is owed to Gaydamak... I'm sure he would like to get this back but he can just keep the land so there is certainly scope for negotiation there. If you think the redevelopment of Fratton Park is important though you will need to buy it from him or else add £50m+ to your budget for a new stadium somewhere down the line (or buy a club knowing that the best ground you'll ever have is Fratton Park). Anyway, much of that is conjecture but I think it's fair to say that admin would be a complete disaster for the football club. Much worse than it was for Saints. This must explain why Storrie is jet-setting around looking for money. That seems odd though... wasn't Al-Faraj Storrie's man in the first place? When Gaydamak sold to Fahim wasn't it the case the Faraj would have taken the club "to a level you can only dream of"...

Pretty unfair on the player though. A better rule would be that player would be free to join another club.

You can start winding-up proceedings against a company if you are owed an undisputed debt of £750 or more, so "yes" is the short answer. There is probably no point in Watford doing that though and it sounds as though they'll be paid by the Sky money in January in any event... not sure if they can wait that long though?

Good price and should be a laugh. I've never been to the Oktoberfest but have been to Munich a couple of times and it is a really nice place. The people are really friendly and the girls are lovely. It has a strange sort of southern Europe feel to it IMO. It's fairly un-German despite the archetypal lederhosen and bierkeller image. Should be a great laugh and that seems like a decent price. Obviously the quality of the coach is important as it looks like you'll be on it for quite a while!

I appreciate you taking the time to consider by proposal. Many thanks, benjii.

Doubt it. What it probably means is that there a section in the club's operating budget called: "money given to us by Markus". I also note that he says, "at this time". Some debt financing could be used in the future IMO.

Stupid title. Nothing at all to do with the subject. Can see why the mods changed it. "I know, I'll do a thread about Westwood but call it 'See post #26'". Rubbish.

Within 3 years Saints and Bournemouth will be above them in the league.

I also think it is silly to say Strachan is a "legend". He's no more a legend than Chris Nichol but you don't hear that very often.
-
I agree that he probably has no formal qualifications and I also agree that he isn't the sort of person, or doesn't seem to be (I don't know him), who you would normally ear-mark as coaching material. That said, if he can communicate his methods, and they work, then he could have a positive influence. I don't think you need to be one of the coaching ubermensch, up there with Wotte, Poortvliet and Sturrock, to teach people how to take penalties.
-
I have absolutely no doubt that Fabio Capello has no intention whatsoever of appointing Matt Le Tissier as a coach. However, I also have no doubt that if he did appoint a penalty coach, the criteria would be "someone very good at penalties and able to impart some wisdom" not "someone with loads of caps who has a comparable itnernational career to the most high profile players in the England squad".
