  1. Pinnacle have pulled out. HTH - that's it.
  2. So you don't know if there's a press conference or you do know there is one but you don't what the content of it is?
  3. Please clarify if this is a load of windy pops or you actually know there is about to be a press conference?
  4. Wow! That's hilarious. No wonder football fans are renowned for their originality and wit. To take a song that is sung by loads of other fans and insert some different names in it is a truly remarkable achievement.
  5. Sorry - my mistake. "SLH PLC" in my post should have read "SFC Ltd".
  6. It is the loan that St Mary's Stadium provided to SLH PLC - see the £10.6m "Debtors" entry on SMS Ltd's sheet.

    Surman

Surman in the Prem. Good one McCarthy.
  8. Because sanctions are applied to the club - not a company. You can't give a company a points deduction.
  9. Can we all agree that Pinnacle and the FL both suck?
  10. Who cares? It has nothing to do with anything.
  11. Yes, quite. It's suprising how many people seem unable to read it correctly.
  12. It's you being simplistic if anyone is. I like your posts but the Daily Mail/Express righteousness isn't suited to a complicated situation like this.
  13. Isn't it known as "the Hayling Island of the Atlantic coast"?
  14. Who gives a **** if he could do a job in League One or not? He cost the best part of £1m and was on (apparently) about £8k a week. He should have done a job in the Championship. It's not his fault he's crap but... he is **** and can **** off.
  15. I imagine Lynham will be keeping something of a lower profile now. MLT has already come out and made a statement on those lines on behalf of "the Group" anyway. Fry won't be shouting about any potential hurdles whilst there are still other bidders around. Would be stupid to do so for many reasons. As for the last two paragraphs; who has said that? I certainly haven't. Talk about reading too much into things.... Look, I have no idea if the FL intend/want/have to deduct further points or not. What I do know is that if I was lobbing £14m at something, I would want certainty over what I was buying.
  16. Mr and Mrs Rich. By the way, that'll be Southampton, USA, I expect.
  17. Why? Because the Echo have misread a statement from the FL? I've no idea if the further deductions issue was important or not, but it certainly isn't clarified by this utterly pointless statement.
  18. Well, hang on a minute... The spokesman says the issue was a "waiver regarding sporting sanctions". This encapsulates the 10 points but also the other routes through which the FL could deduct points. It's hardly confirmation that the sole issue was the 10 points. Sounds like The Echo have failed to actually consider what the FL has said, which seems to be a fairly politico-banal statement.
  19. As long as it has "Southampton" in the name and isn't ridiculous (eg "Southampton LadyBoys", "Southampton Mincers" etc), they could call us whatever they want as far as I'm concerned. I suspect this is complete and utter guff in any case.
  20. Yes, but a CVA is a different thing. It is a mechanism for exiting/avoiding insolvency. The fact that the FL's rules demand one (apparently, I can't be arsed to actually check this point!) only goes to show that they clearly hadn't envisgaed our scenario when they drafted them. To be honest; I think this is a moot point as I would imagine that SFC Ltd could be sold follwing a pre-pack administration of its own. I may well be wrong. If there's no one with any cash interested then it certainly is all a moot point!
  21. SLH won't have a CVA - it will be wound up. No one wants to buy the PLC, they want to buy its assets.
  22. Good post. Singing a song about "kicking his ****ing head in", in public, in a family resort is loutish and embarassing behaviour whatever the motive.
