Have wes signed a striker? Said on sky sports apparently?

I know what you mean; there's room for some nostalgia there.... but I thought he was a ****. -
Court for your lot, hopefully.

It's beacuse it looks like it should be pronounced bee-vwah. That's why outsiders might call it that. Beaulieu would probably be pronounced bowl-yerr by someone who didn't know how to pronounce it. HTH

To be fair Man City have just a climbed a step up the respectability ladder whereas Pompey, if rumours are to be believed, are about to further entrench their position at the bottom with the signing of repugnant, violent thug, Joey Barton.

Tommac has stumped up the wad for Henrik Larrson finally. -
The bank have no direct say in who we sell or don't. If he goes we are 100% stuffed IMO without signing a replacement on loan. If he goes then perhaps we shouldn't have signed Schneiderlin, Forecast, Pulis and Gasmi.

Dixon and Speedie. -
:smt026 Brilliant.

I don't care what the result is as long as we win 2-0 and McGoldrick scores first.

If you look around this site you will find plenty!

What are your thoughts on Micky Evans?

Hammill scored a great goal for Dunfermline against Celtic once. I sawed it on da Utoob.

I can guarantee there are more people in The Wellington Arms on Real Ale than cocaine. Fact.
-
Lol - you're saying cocaine is more prevalent in pubs than alcohol? I'm not denying it is widespread but that is clearly not true. I reckon Real Ale use is more prevalent than Cocaine use.

Cheers, please do

Slight exageration methinks

Probably, otherwise it wouldn't be on ITV 4! They should do a new series. There's bugger all else on ITV.
-
Is it on again soon? Funny watching little scrotes get a proper bollocking for a change.

The funny thing about this is that Scooby is a wind-up merchant. Everyone knows that. Sundance Beast, on the other hand, seems alarmingly sincere!

I can't remember the statutory specifics but they are under a duty to consult properly, to follow a fair selection procedure and also to try and find you alternative employment. The role also needs to be genuinely redundant of course! They should also follow their own internal procedures - which might state something like "we will try to find you an alternative role within the organisation, redundancy is a last resort etc". Do you have at least one year's continuous service? If not, you have no protection from Unfair Dismissal unfortunately. You would still be protected from discrimination (on the ground of age, for example) though. There's plenty of free employment advice out there. You could try the CAB as a starting point (although I wouldn't always take their advice as gospel). Are you a member of a union? If so they should be able to put you in touch with law firms. I'm not going to recommend any firms by name but if you search you'll find some decent law firms who will give you free advice regarding whether you have a case.

I think it's more about insularity than the historicvalidity of any particular label. Like PES says "Pikey" may not be the correct term but it is used to convey the kind of comical self-importance of an insignificant little troup of people who think they are somehow divorced through an accident of birth (for let's face it Pompey have traditionally had a small catchment area - it's the insularity point again) from the norms of civilised society. In that sense it is a sensible analogy IMO with the common perception of gypos/travellers. The people of Portsmouth seem unusually proud of their particular brand of freakish alterity. Pompey folk = a bit like the Welsh IMO.

I think it is probably because most citizens of Southampton are good people, with respect for authority; ergo a greater proportion of crimes are reported. Many of the citizens of some of our less salubrious sink holes, Portsmouth for example, suffer from a sort of gypsy-derivative inferiority/mistrust complex when it comes to dealing with emanations of the state such as the police (with the notable exception of the benefit office of course). As a result, huge swathes of nasty, violent acts go unreported.
