So, in this case and with SAF's recent tweet about bidder or buyer it would seem he is simply hoping to rack up a commission by introducing a buyer. It all sounds a bit CSI with rent-a-forwarding-address and looking for a bank prepared to handle their money type of stuff going on. Word of advice to the Phew, surely to God you lot over at Fatpipes can see the next dodgy asset stripper from a mile away, same as we can, so why not just AH this lot and move on to whatever the future holds?

Wasn't an arrest warrant issued on the ice cream bloke in regard to his alleged dodgy property dealings in Dubai, whereupon he took off for an extended stay at a chess tourney in Moscow? In which case does this give him a criminal record and would he therefore likely fail the FAPPT? In any event if his above dealings involved insolvency that should do the trick. Is the mystery bidder he's dragging along likely to be that Shinawatra chappie trying to get a foot in the door again, perhaps?

Before discussing the design of next years kit, we probably should be giving thought to which manufacturer we will sign up with (and for how long?). According to the denizens of this thread our esteemed supplier Umbro (which always sounds to me like a rapper!) has been put out of business by its parent Nike. Does this mean we will automatically revert to Nike kits then? Well possibly, but our Umbro contract expires at seasons end so presumably NC can negotiate with whomever he likes. I suspect NC would like a prestige brand such as Adidas or Nike, but then his Italian heritage may direct him to one of their brands. Alternatively the German heritage of our owners may lead us in the direction of Adidas or Puma. Then again NC may simply source out the best financial deal available and that may end up being a newish brand like Liverpool have. Finding out the supplier seems to be first base before considering the actual kit design as many manufacturers utilise only limited templates and we will then be able to unleash The9 to unravel the mysteries for us! In any event the new supplier has very likely already been chosen as I believe it is around about October that the actual design for next season has to be signed off by NC to allow the manufacturing process to be programmed. I wonder how long before our spies can lean on their snouts hard enough to cough up the new kit suppliers identity?

Good point, but what about the Rose Bowl (or whatever it's called now)? Bransgrove seemed to have the necessary clout to push that through in a strictly rural location, when you would have expected your above dictum to apply. Further developments no problem, and the council even pays for them! Cortese is fiercely determined when he wants something and the prestige, employment and money generated for the city by SFC must surely give him considerable influence in any negotiations with SCC. Not saying NC will want a stadium at JF and indeed it does currently look as if he is lining up an expanded SMS. However, there are issues and he may look outside the city if, for example, a redeveloped waterfront does not materialize or he cannot acquire land adjacent to the current stadium.
-
Derry .. Do you know if such guidelines would make the site a suitable location for a future new stadium, should NC decide to go down that route? Already owning the land would be a major advantage if NC is thinking new build and he has certainly mentioned this possibility in past missives.

Burleyesque substitutions ... I had hoped to have seen the end of them. Hope Yoshi is good as we are stuck with our defence until January now. That's two games in a row of weird substitutions and that used to be Nigel's strong point. Are things getting to him? Wonder what Cortese thinks of today ...

Isn't he with the BlackEyed Peas? Thought Fergie would have the inside running on this one!

These Bolognese have a sauce ... that's all.

They may not be web builders directly, but might this not be a good time to utilise our partnership with AAP3 and see if they can coordinate a new and unique web presence for the club?

Have to agree with this, exactly as I saw it. Clyne looked very good and would have made a difference second half , but LL bossed the show and looked real class at times. CB now a priority, sorry Jose but the PL may just pass you by. Might have to shell out for the tough tackling CB from Rennes after this. Promising display today though against quality opposition. Get a few more players in and we can give this PL malarkey a decent go ...

So, does this make Jamie Mackie surplus to requirements now perhaps? -
Or, in this instance, a very unreliable Forecast ... if you know what I mean (and I'm sure you all do!) ....

Has SMS been renamed FFS? Saw the thread title and assumed Granty had won Lotto and sponsored the ground ...

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
Saint 76er replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
A couple of rumours along the way on here have suggested that (1) NC spoke at one of his fans dinners of discussions with SCC regarding a proposal to submit plans for increasing SMS to 44K and (2) that club insiders were told that he would proceed with a second tier on the three available sides if we stay up this season. Now we have drawings turning up, which indicates NC does at least have (probably detailed) plans sitting in his desk drawer, although despite the above none of us can be sure of a timeframe, if ever. Back to the drawings, and if you look closely at the Kingsland it rather looks as if it may be a raised tier rather than joined to existing section. Otherwise, why have a solid line just below the new exits and this tier appears to end in a curved section at the corner rather than to connect up with the Northam. As the various stand roofs are of a different height this would presumably enable a stand at a time to be done. Also, if you look under the Kingsland roof it rather seems as if new corporate boxes of some description may be indicated. Regarding the faux exterior I would imagine this is likely to contain coloured lighting adaptability, a bit like that flash Azabeijani stadium built for Eurovision. Finally, even in this mock-up they seem to have the pitch surrounded by those digital advertising boards ..!! -
Yeah, best young roster in MLB. Strasburg and Harper especially are a bit special and will be a fun few years if you keep all those guys together. Nats went down the high draft pick route and came up trumps, whereas the Phils sold out the farm to bring in high end talent and have had an amazing roster for the last few years and it's been a great ride but probably time for a rebuild now. Different fan base in Philly who won't accept being bottom for a few years so expect the wheeling and dealing to commence shortly. In which case the Nats might as well win it all this year, just to p*** off the Yankees and Red Sux!!!
-
Yeah Washy, who would have thunk it .. not me. Anyway, Nats have done a good job putting together an exciting young roster, but you get that chance eventually when you are perennial losers. Just watch out if injuries bite, as you can be decimated like the Phils have been this year and go backwards in a hurry. Enjoy it while you can, as normal service should be resumed next season ...
-
Yes, but we really need someone to identify THEVMAN in that picture ... or was that him hiding behind the curtains?
-
Contrary to popular opinion, it's probably worth pointing out that JRod played a season in the PL with Burnley and although only young was widely praised for his potential. There you are, he is already a PL star!
-
Have we decided on pinstripes of some configuration then? Or could it be something like diagonal halves, a la Monaco perhaps .. ?

So, the answer is simple ... we swop Guly for Schmeichel. Oh, and they owe us about 1.5 million as well to make up the difference! -
I think Bart has every chance of playing Premier League football next season ... maybe for the likes of St Mirren or Inverness Caledonian Thistle perhaps?
