  1. Surely, the redoubtable and diligent AA will be fully investigating all these issues (and plenty more) in his forensic clean up of all wrongdoings at Fallingdown Park, won't he? I do hope he won't let us down as I can hardly wait for the parade of dodgy characters being led to the cells as AA marks another one off his hit list ...
  2. Surely Cortese would not be spooked by one narrow loss in a difficult away game, and surely NA is here until at least promotion this season is out of reach? However, might be interesting should Ray Wilkins happen to end up here in any capacity. That would certainly keep the pressure on Nige ....
  3. Perhaps they're going to sack Dean Wilkins and need a replacement.... Oh!!!...
  4. So, according to our spies (well LB anyway) our football dept head honchos were undertaking a fairly overt interview with a football person in Cobham today just as Ray Wilkins is waived farewell from Chelsea's TG at, err, Cobham. Now, what could have connected us to him at this time, oh yes his brother, but more tellingly for me is that Wilkins (R not D) is a fluent Italian speaker....
  5. This please ... thank you Mr Cortese. You might have to negotiate with Patrick though
  6. Trouble is, if we go back to stripes (which we will) then we only get an Umbro template version and probably the same as some other club has for this season. Love the idea of playing in our original kit in this our special season but best of all it is unique to Saints. That status will end next year which is a shame and I would like to see us continue with a kit that other clubs don't play in. My vote would be a return to the KK kit, which seems universally popular and would sell like hot cakes, but apart from a special year like this I can't see Umbro doing us a separate kit each year. If we continue with a sash (either home or away) I notice that MC have the sponsor logo under their badge not across the sash (on MC away strip). Logo is therefore smaller but looks quite neat. We could follow suit should we have any further sashed kit.
  7. How come Al Capone gets to investigate gangsterism in Chicago? Who the hell thought that was ever going to work? .....
  8. Both players being allowed to play in FA Cup for County. Probably sensible but does indicate (as if proof were needed) that Pulis has no future at Saints. Clearly not planning on relying on him if we progress in the Cup. However, does beg the question why on earth we renewed his contract for this season ...
  9. Come on guys, firstly Sarah can see Russia from her house which is everything she needs to know about foreign affairs. Secondly, anyone who names her well endowed daughter Bristol is okay with me ...
  10. Pat, as far as I know Vince Bartram is effectively the academy GK coach but appears to have been seconded to first team duties following Murdoch's release. Kevin Pressman was Nigel Adkins GK coach at Scunny and was rumoured as being seen at SMS just before NA's appointment. However, no sign of KP yet being signed up by us. As you say Adkins is a former keeper and will presumably want a full time appointment in that role but no idea who or when this may be. Perhaps they will stick with Bartram for the time being? Pat, in your experience of keepers how would you rate Pressman as a potential GK coach? Just interested in your opinion in case he does end up here. As far as I can remember he was a pretty good keeper for Sheff Wed for a good many years.
  11. Well, this is a bit like learning the police have investigated the Boston strangler and let him off scott free. Sad old world. Still, they are no longer safe from creditor action and wouldn't want to miss cva or tax payments when due and particularly the payments now due to gay boy. He may yet have the last laugh if they do! What a joke this has been in regard to an administrators responsibility to do the best for creditors. In this case shaft the fookin' creditors and fight off any buyers until the whole shambles can be handed over to the admins paymaster. Surely the authorities could have a field day with that, but they won't of course, it all seems too hard for them. Even by his own admission BC only wants as much money as he can get and then he is off (great basis for a club owner that). So watch for transfers OUT in January, cos if he can raise any funds by selling I guess that's what he will do now that he has control of the accounts again and surely he will want to reduce that wage bill now he has to fund it...
  12. Think his goals ratio (at least last season) keeps Rickie's name on the team sheet. However, I wonder if any pressure is being brought to bear to keep Guly's name on there as well? Course, he's doing okay at the present and will hopefully get better, but might be interesting if he loses form all of a sudden...
  13. Surely Oxo has to start next game now? He sounds ready to destroy defences in this league, young though he is. How good might he become... (keep yer eyes off Arseanall). Time for a rest Punch?
  14. Why wouldn't they sit together and cheer as a group? Of course, that would be the smell I suppose then ....
  15. " F***ing cage fighters are everywhere these days"
  16. Watford equalize, now 1-1 at Poopey
  17. In breaking news, Greg Halford is on the pitch warming up with Poopey today according to Andy Awful on Solent. Lampitt was spouting off also about how confident he is that the FL have been stitched up and it's only a matter of days now before they capitulate and skates have two loan players ready to come straight in then. Halford is clearly one of them if he is training already and Shotton of Stoke was also mentioned.
  18. Don't worry mate, no one running that poxy little club could lay straight in bed. It seems like a disease that afflicts everyone who goes there. Even Cotterell seemed a mildly reasonable type, if a barely convincing manager, but enter the Farton portals and he becomes a raging clone of the previous clown to manage them (Horton Heath activities excepted though). All that crazy spin from DL is a worry though, if only because it's hard to see how he ever ended up there unless he is a FL plant to cover some tracks, in which case they will probably eat up his spin as much as the cretins who pass for fans in that rather decrepit part of the world. As for Liam Lawrence and where he will end up come february, St Marys would be my guess. Especially as he comes so cheap and all that...
  19. Don't forget that Bmuff are owed a big sell on fee for Adam. Something like 20% if not 25% of any fee received. This actually seems a hefty cut to me, considering he was only 11 or something when we signed him and all his development since has been at our expense. Just a great big free gift to them really...
  20. No. Cortese will, if needs be, relocate the entire city of Southampton to a large vacant area just outside of Zurich. Whilst some of you may have language difficulties with this, just think of the tax advantages! Also, opposing clubs unable to afford the air fare will need two days in a coach to reach us, thus affording us a considerable home ground advantage ...
  21. This might be a good time to send Barney in for the hernia op (or whatever) that he is alleged to require, no?
  22. Boro 2-0.. penalty. Go Boro!!
  23. Skates losing!!! All them and then Middlesbrough break away and score... well done Boro!
  24. Good work by Nigel Adkins, this bloke sounds like he might actually know what he is doing (and SW must just hate the sound of his name!). Our season starts ... yet again! NASA/WIFM
  25. Adam Le Fondre, with any luck ...
