True, but they are both (until recently) very big and successful clubs, so there probably isn't the intense hatred that comes from one side knowing (deep down) that their club's completely inferior to the other.

All true, but if Stek gets injured we're ****ed. He was touch and go starting yesterday, so if he's not 100% fit I wouldn't risk playing him. Instead put the lesser of the other 2 evils in goal, and play the strongest outfield 10 in front of him.

Actually, it could be a genius sending off. a) He possibly would have been rested against Villa anyway, and b) Instead of having one yellow added to his season's tally, he gets none. I'm not sure if I'm right about b) (please correct me if I'm wrong). But if I am wrong and the 2 yellows do add to his season's tally, that would be unfair, given that they also count as a red and a one match ban. Edit: Maybe the first is added to the season tally but not the second?

Same with me. Unlike Spurs I have nothing against Liverpool as a club, now that Brenda's gone. But of course in the unlikely event Lovren plays I hope he gets a hat trick. Of own goals.

But that's the whole point. The club should have ponied up for a decent PL quality back up keeper. Not a top class keeper, but a solid back up. Just like virtually every other PL club has been able to do. And no, Stek isn't our current back up. He's our number 1 at least until the new year, and very possibly the whole season.

Maybe we should give the benefit of the doubt that so22 meant the dark periods of Branfoot and Administration. Certainly plenty of great days in between (and after!)
