  1. He's been on the bench because of his strop not being sold to Spurs, who offered £15m, not because he's crap. Since then WBA have rejected offers greatly in excess of that. If Spurs come in with an offer that matches Newcastle's then maybe they would sell him to them. But not to a relegation rival. That's WTF I'm talking about.
  2. Still clinging on as joint leaders, but it's getting very crowded at the top there. I dread to think what's going to happen to them if they don't go up this year. Is this the promotion or bust season?
  3. Can't blame them. They are not safe from the drop, so it would be madness to sell a key striker to a relegation rival.
  4. (a) Only when we play them, or (b) if they threaten our position by overtaking us. (a) He can't play for them against us. (b) I very much doubt Swansea can overtake us. IMO
  5. I'm not sure they are our rivals this season, surely we'll finish way above them. If he helps them take points off our upper mid-table rivals (and he can't play against us) I don't see any harm if he joins them.
  6. 27,054 posts since May 2007 = approximately 8.5 posts per day.
  7. Not desperate, but sensible. If they are after another established striker it means they are not resting on their laurels, and realise that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to win the league (or at least qualify for the CL). Without a decent backup, an injury, suspension or loss of form to Vardy could undo all their good work. I wish we had had the same attitude a year ago, when we were a backup striker (and GK) short and otherwise could have had a decent shot for top 4. This.
  8. Injured arms I think. Hopefully the legs will be better by next year.
  9. I wouldn't moan either if I was on £60K per week. Although fair play to him to take a £20K per week cut to be able to play elsewhere.
  10. Not to mention that there were no FA cup matches prior to the Palace match, before or during our streak of eight losses in 10.
  11. Don't you mean 2nd place trophy? I refer you to post 87.
  12. "Mauricio Pochettino refuses to be rushed into signing a striker after having his fingers burned with Dani Osvaldo at Southampton." No, you burned our fingers, you bastard.
  13. Wow, that's a lot. In fact if a striker makes his debut for Saints and doesn't score he should hang his head in shame.
  14. You mean like Arsenal at SMS a month ago?
  15. Don't worry, he'll be crying all the way to the bank soon.
  16. That's an impressive subs bench!
  17. A couple of weeks ago we were looking at this match with trepidation. 3 successive impressive wins, plus an Austin, and things have turned around 180 degrees. I guess Austin probably will start, so who makes way? Defensively it's hard to see any changes from the team that started, and played brilliantly, against Man U. Although with 10 days rest Davis may be fit from his mysterious injury.
  18. Well, that's understandable. Every penny counts for paupers.
  19. Epic bump ... over 6 years.
  20. Yes, but it does imply not B implies not A. In other words, this has 0-0 written all over it.
  21. You mean like we were for 15 years or so?
  22. So how's Austin's injury?
  23. Tails should be up a bit now for this one, although Pulis' teams are never easy. I'd start with the same 11 that started today, who were all excellent. Please Ron, keep Big Vic on the bench (or in the stands).
  24. Are we playing Barcelona tonight?
