I thought Wellbeck looked lively. He seems to play better for England than for Manure. Johnson was utter crap.

Clyne >>>>> Johnson

Fantastic pass from Rooney to Johnson, who fecks up (of course).

Well it certainly makes sense that a multi-billionaire would be desperate for a few more millions.

Maybe he's just read this. http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/the-fa-ban-tom-cleverley-from-the-world-cup-squad

Glad you are still alive to tell us the tale.

Thanks. I understood it's £10.99 a month, I just wanted to make sure there were no extra "hidden" charges to view all those channels. Sounds like a bargain!

Should MP drop Lambert for the Palace game!
Dark Munster replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Shouldn't this be in the Palace build up thread? -
A few of the channels are labelled as "free". Does that mean there is an extra fee for the others? "If you had said at the start of the year we would make the play-offs, I think we would have been quite happy." Well 'Arry, by "we" I have a feeling that wouldn't include Tony Fernandes.

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/match-reaction/288058/redknapp-bemoans-key-losses Harry Redknapp blamed QPR's mounting injury list for the latest setback in their bid to return to the Premier League. "If I was picking my best team today I think I've got six or seven players missing. It's very difficult, these are key, key, key players."
-
Right on cue: http://www.sportinglife.com/football/championship/queens-park-rangers/news/article/3657/9182678/redknapp-qpr-can-still-go-up "We had a massive turnaround, with 18 players left (in the summer), a lot of good players who left because they were earning too much money and they had to go. We have put a new team together and if you had said at the start of the year we would make the play-offs, I think we would have been quite happy." Last year his excuse for relegation was that the players were shite. Now he says having to get rid of those same players is the reason he's screwing up promotion (with the most expensive squad in the division.) What a c**t.

Since the Skates aren't playing today, that's pretty obvious. Pretty obvious if they were playing, too.

Pochettino would "jump at the chance to manage PSG"
Dark Munster replied to FleetCasual's topic in The Saints
Yes, but would he crawl over broken glass for the job? -
Sadly yes, only 2. Of course one of those spots would be almost wrapped up by the DCFSBs had their 10 point penalty been properly applied this year. But who knows, they are more than capable of screwing up without the FL's help.

Oi, I resemble that remark!

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26272372 West Ham are on a great run and have now won three games in a row following their draw at Stamford Bridge. In contrast to Fulham and West Brom, the Hammers stuck with their manager Sam Allardyce rather than sacking him when they were on a bad run around the turn of the year. After a run of five points from nine games, West Ham have picked up 10 points in their last four matches. They are reaping the benefits of backing a manager who had a proven track record in the Premier League, instead of changing things and making them worse. I was surprised that Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino fielded a weakened team in their FA Cup defeat by Sunderland last week. As I said then, Saints are not going to climb much higher in the league table and they are not going to drop many places either so I don't get it. Why not have a cup run and reward your supporters? Overall, though, they have had a very good season and in the league they are continuing quite merrily. Lawro's prediction: 1-1 Always liked that Lawro chap.

If we'd got to the semi-final how many tickets do you reckon we would sell?

Why 2013-2014 season is great for us Saints fans.
Dark Munster replied to Dr. Kucho's topic in The Saints
Even if they're adopted and over 18? -
My God, there are some dullard MP apologists around, aren't there? There's a time and place to put out a weakened team: relegation or CL places to worry about/fight for, or lower division opposition in early rounds. We don't complain then. But a late round match, with nothing significant left to play for in the league, is not one of them.
-
As Wes Tender says, time to move on, our work is done, MP has got the message. As for the dullards who keep on arguing that the team wasn't weakened very much, and should have been good enough to win, see post 30.
