We're 5th favorites to be in the top 4. We've got the best defensive record in the whole country, and the best g.d. in the league. We're 4 points ahead of 3rd place. So I beg to differ that top 4 isn't really realistic and it's a huge outside chance and will require a lot of luck. We're only 3rd favorites for the league cup (with only one winner of course), so I'd say the odds are better for a top 4 finish versus winning the cup. But RK will go all out to win it, and I'm glad about that, and that he's the anti-MP.

The team won the first match, and was winning the second, which already guaranteed progression to the knockout stage. Their star player was on one yellow from the first match (I think it may have been Stoichkov for Bulgaria), and so spent the last fifteen minutes swearing and arguing with the referee. He finally got his second yellow, and left at the end smirking, knowing that his suspension was for a dead rubber. Back to Pelle. Actually that's not true. Even Lowe admitted it wasn't to do with money (NP wasn't on very much, and was happy to continue). As mentioned by someone earlier, NP was a Crouch appointment and Lowe's ego wouldn't allow his contract to be renewed.

Don't understand "this run has to end soon" theory. Even our friend Lawro also used it in his prediction that we'd lose against Hull. It's not like we've won 10 or 15 on the trot: we lost to Spurs fairly recently.
