  1. You were born a bit early. I bet a lot of little Saints were born about 9 months after Saint Bobby's goal.
  2. But that means a defeat against Walsall, which at best (1 goal defeat) would bring the g.d. level for Saints and Huddersfield. And with their 15-0 victory Huddersfield will have scored more goals, winning the next tiebraker.
  3. Why not put a tenner on them not getting promoted? That way if the worst happens you'll have nice bit of comfort money.
  4. Or if they go 1-0 up early they can then park the bus.
  5. I think Spurs (like all other creditors who aren't called Chinny) can kiss that money goodbye.
  6. Well, in fairness, the Cheats didn't purchase success. Considering that they used players that they couldn't afford and are paying back pennies on the pound (if that) it's more like that they stole success. So rather than calling them hypocrites (which they are), it's perhaps even more apt to describe them as cheating, lying, filthy scumbags.
  7. You mean what Nottarf Krap is soon going to look like after Chinny does a runner?
  8. Half a million into Chinny's pocket. That'll pay for a month or so of Lawrence and co.'s wages. "Since his move, Wilson has gone on to become an integral part of the Stoke side who have reached the FA Cup final. That deal has proven to a bargain for the Blues, with Lawrence and Kitson helping to comfortably keep them in the Championship." That's strange: I thought Chinny was gambling on paying the highest wages in the Championship in order to get promotion and get his hands on the Sky money, not to comfortably maintain their place in the pauper league.
  9. Certainly anywhere within 100 feet of TCWTB.
  10. Seconded. Assuming 'Arry gets as far as the gates.
  11. As alluded to by earlier posters, it appears Chinny is only stringing Aintgotapenny and Dubious along to fool the few (not a difficult task) into buying season tickets, before closing the cesspit down and then scarpering. The fact that this is giving the few more hope to kill them is just a delicious bonus.
  12. If Huddersfield pull back their 12 goal deficit and pip Saints to 2nd place on goal difference, this decision is going to haunt us.
  13. P. S. Any own goals scored by them would of course be purely accidental.
  14. We could loan them a couple of ours.
  15. Actually, if they fancy their chances for competing for promotion next season, wouldn't they prefer Saints to be no longer in the division (and a strong rival for a promotion spot)? Maybe it's in their best interests to lose on Saturday.
  16. I just hope the bitter little man doesn't send out a team against Huddersfield so young that they'll be wearing nappies, with the aim to lose 10-0 and eradicate our superior goal difference. No one would be that vindictive. Would they?
  17. Gus Poyet would spontaneously explode.
  18. Well the few have now finally lost the last bit of the unbearable hope. Luckily for them it's been replaced by the more bearable despair.
  19. Only 4 players on the bench. Stevie-boy's last desperate attempt to convince the angry loan shark that he has done a magnificent job with such a "paper thin" squad?
  20. Leeds only get a point today, so the Cheats inch toward oblivion, but are still alive by the slenderest of threads. All they need is for Leeds and Forest to lose all their remaining games, Cheats win theirs, and all the other teams in between to lose most of them. Still a tiny amount of unbearable hope for the few. Unless of course they are saved by Messrs. Aintgotapenny and Dubious.
  21. Rest assured, if we f**k up our promotion she'll be typing and posting on here one nanosecond later. It'll be her last act of defiance before the Cheats sink below the waves.
