Message to Clapham Saint and any other insolvency practitioners out there: If the club went into administration how easy would it be for Lowe and co to buy it in the form of a pre-pack or otherwise? Would the administrator have to shop around for a buyer or effectively advertise it for sale? What criteria does an administrator have to consider when selling a company like this? I think the answer to these questions will go a long way to answering some of the rumours and conjecture re admin or the lack thereof, including my own.

Ken, I believe that attendances next season of around 10-12k will be the norm regardless of which leaue we are in unless the main shareholders sell to someone with the means and desire to invest and unless performances become a lot more consistent and we do well in the league. I know a fair few supporters like myself who are falling out of love with football in general and who will not be renewing season tickets next year. The club will also be fighting against the effects of recession in a city that has been and will continue to be fairly hard hit.

Alpine, look at the people who stand to lose out via administration and then consider who are running the club. Then ask yourself whether it was any surprise. I have been saying for ages on here that Lowe and Wilde would not allow the club to go into administration, not for the club's sake but for their own sake. I have also said for a long time that I would like to see the club go into administration. I have been in a minority in holding these opinions because, I think, people fail to consider the business implications which is reasonable I suppose given that we are, on the whole, passionate supporters. The company will only go into admin when it suits the major shareholders. Until then I fear they will continue to take the club down the leagues.

This is the simplest way of doing it without kicking up a fuss - you have cancellation rights under the Distance Selling Regulations - you can send them back within 7 working days of you receiving them and get a full refund. I would mention this to them and say that you can all save fuss by just getting them to send you the one free.

Nice theory but that's not the case. Barclays of all of the banks have been very heavy handed since September last year - increasing business bank overdraft interest rates, calling in overdrafts, raising rates etc as they seek to avoid having to take a goverment handout. More likely theory is that their security (the stadium) really is next to worthless without a football club playing in it. How much do you really think they would realise if they took the stadium and sold it with it's limited planning permission? Peanuts. Barclays I am sure have approached this on a sensible basis and are looking at the long term vision of Lowe which is based on youth. Remember a lot of senior contracts are up at the end of this year and our wage bill will be reduced significantly. No doubt this would have been built in to the original business plan that Lowe and Wilde laid before Barclays at the beginning of the year ie. wages currently high but will be reduced over the next two years in which time we should make a profit on players bought/sold. The one thing both parties may have underestimated however is the effect the changes this year added with recession have had on gate receipts. So to sum up, I would say that Barclays have little choice but to play the long term game whilst our borrowings from them remain high.

I know how you feel mate. Football now is very different to the game I used to watch with my dad and mates as a kid - not sure I like the sterile and expensive modern version too much. As for the alternative entertainment - you could try and rediscover that - only this time try doing it not on your own ;0)

It's amazing how people over-react when all's not lovey dovey, happy clappy, PG-rated, watch with mother and sterile at football grounds. Get a grip. Football hasn't quite become the sole preserve of the middle classes YET.

Let's also hope the service up to the front men gets a lot better. I was so p!ssed off on Tuesday when we kept pumping the ball in the air through the middle - bread and butter to the big Derby defenders. Euell has some chance of prospering from that but it's not really playing to Saga's strength. James and Surman are the players that are capable of putting balls down the channels for Saga to chase but they both looked knackered on Tuesday - James did not get forward half as much as he usually does.

Come off it Chez, I thought you were a better judge of a footballer than that! As Adrian keeps pointing out, Saga really can defend from the front by harrying the defenders. He's also our best finisher by a mile. I completely understand why he was kept on at a time when we were still creating chances. Pato scored a good goal against Ipswich when we were already over the line and Ipswich heads had dropped. Would he have gone for goal had we been 0-0 - NO he would not - he would have played safe and laid it off. Pato is a long way off being good enough for the first team at the moment IMO.

Surman had run out of steam. He does seem to fatigue quicker and/or have a slower recovery rate than some of the other players and so I am not surprised that he ran out steam. I can understand bringing Wotton on although I really dont rate him as a player. For me it showed our lack of depth in the squad - we needed to make a substitution but out of 4 subs left we really didnt have anyone good enough. God only knows what would happen if we got some injuries.

I am concerned that we seem to play well against the teams higher up the table but really struggle with the othe teams fighting for their lives. That said if we play the same way as we did vs Ipswich and Preston we should be fine.

Played in the right way and with the right sort of coaching McGoldrick can be very good indeed. Like Nick I have expressed surprise at how so many people can't see what McGoldrick brings to the team. Fact is we all have different criteria for judging a player.
