some time in the mid nineties as a nipper i was behind the goal at selhurst park when our football team went to see saints v wimbeldon. Had my hand on the advertising hoarding when Oakley blasted a ball which crashed against it during the warm up. Think i spent the first 5 minutes in their first aid room! no puncheon style apology from oakley, but i didnt bear a grudge, especially after that screamer against the skates!

Are you going to be in the UK? It's definately on Sky Sports and will therefore be on in most pubs, i dont know if you can pick that up in the States however. there must be a sports bar somehwere in LA with sky?

i cant see it myself. For a start, despite his undoubted ability in front of goal, on set pieces and creativity, lambo just hasnt got the pace for the prem. For that reason he would sit on the hull bench, with venegoor of hesselink (will be very happy if i got that spelling right!) ahead of him in the pecking order. If hull are a ccc team, i cant see them outdoing us in terms of wages etc, though if there is interest it may mean an improved contract from markus and co. Also he'll be confident as we all are that the season after next we'll be in the ccc, and tbh a better proposition to go up than hull, so unless he wants to do a surman and sit on a prem bench for the rest of his career, i cant see this being much of a career progression. Thank the Lord for the German Swiss

Ashtead saint?? my hometown! i knew there were a few of us kicking about (alisons bakery), great stuff! As for the game, same team, same bench, a classy (not scrappy) 2-0 to the saints. Don't think the pitch at tranmere will be as bad as exeter or wycombe, so its not a decent enough excuse imo. COYR

As I live less than 5 minutes walk from 'the Park' and a semi-regular spectator at games, i'm just too excited about this game! Davis Otsemobor Fonte Jaidi Harding James Morgan Lallana Waigo Lambert Puncheon Bart, Seabourne, Thomas, Wotton, Holmes, Antonio, Barnard Having seen exeter frequently, i can confidently say the above team really really should get a good result 2moro, but i suppose its not quite that straightforward. Exeter are a good footballing side, with good movement up front and crisp, on the deck passing. They like to knock it into the channels for the forwards to pick up, so our full backs are going to need to have a solid display. Reasonably fragile at the back however, and they dont have the biggest of presences in the midfield, so a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation should be effective.

the big wetherspoons is a fair walk from the ground. Lots of options in the main high street, but the bowling green, henrys bar and the duke of york are all home and away friendly and less than 5 mins from the ground

are you starting the course in september then? where are u going to? I'm in my final year, this would be a great thing to do but really not necessary as preparation for the degree!

2 days on and i'm still over the moon. Coming through experiences of this nature provides vital experience to our young team, and especially consider how good a two legged semi final and wembley final will prepare the team for the playoffs, either this season or next!!

absolutely spot on with that team and formation, what other team has the likes of trottman, connolly and antonio on the bench?? We should win this. I'm praying for a clean sheet to boost our defence's confidence but can see this being a 3-2 nervy goalfest. Really hope waigo shows that he justifies a starting place today..
