I have only just logged on but after watching the game and thinking about it all afternoon, I have to say that I am in Total agreement with the original Poster. For my money Lallana was Poor today , To lightwieght and no real penatration, If clubs are prepared to pay a million for him I would say take there money and buy a couple of good players that will be effective in this league. I also thought James was not in the game today but overall the team performed OK.

I dont think press conferences are called for when a Division one team signs players on free transfers , I dont think some of our supporters realize we are no longer in the Prem...Time to get real guys and be thankful for what we have.

Sorry to see killer go as he has been a good servant to the club but it was always obvious that Alan Pardew would not have a place for him in his set up. AP wants in his own coaching team with no previous baggage at SFC, I think that Henderson's days are also numbered once AP sorts out the youth policies and the Academy. IMHO AP is doing it in the correct manner but remenber Rome wasn't built in a day.

Surprising how little patience some fans have especially after what we have suffered in recent seasons, Seems to me that Alan Pardew knows exactly what he is doing and is takeing his time to ensure he makes the right long term appointments rather than short term fixes to appease impatiant supporters. I dont have any problem with anything AP has done or said and think he is 100% correct to play his cards close to his chest .............. Everything will be OK just be patiant.

Me , I'd Say Sign him up if poss. A much better defender at either RB or CH to anything we have at the club at the moment. Coming back for a second spell at a club is sometimes a very good thing especially if it is really where your heart is ,Ask Micky Channon for one.

Whilst I have great respect For John Mortimore and all he did for SFC under the SLH banner it is now a whole different ball game. Markus Leibherr has put HIS money up and bought SFC, Therefor it is entirely his perogative to say if he wants "If you want to come to SMS and watch MY team then please pay for your seat as I have to" Dont see a problem with that, He obviously does not want any honary positions at HIS club or any other freeloaders ........... If they both want to sign up for us again on sensible division one contracts I dont see it as a problem, can only strentghen what at the moment is a weak squad.

Do not under estimate the Pardew factor , A couple of new signings and a good start to the season will see us chaseing at least a play off spot.

I would have thought Pardews first priority would be to sort out the players here that are out of contract or looking to move on , Rasiak , John , Euell , Saga. If we could afford to keep 2 or 3 of these and sign up Murty I think we could have the backbone of a good team for Division 1. I agree we still need some new players but we have some good ones under our noses if they had the right Manager to sort them out, which I think Pardew will do.

Not my first choice but having thought about it for a few hours now I am not to dissappointed and wish Alan all the best in his new job. Hope he can get us some real players in now before the season starts. Make good use of your contacts Alan , West Ham must have some good reserves you could get on loan perhaps
