Better yet, just catch the Red Funnel to Cowes and you'll go back 50 years.

Agreed. I bet Tony was well p*ssed too.

I've had loads of them. Usually just write one letter saying "I am in receipt of your invoice, I dispute it and decline to pay it, bla bla..." then ignore anything else they send. Never had a problem.
-
You ought to know better, smirker. Those "tickets" are no more enforceable than any other invoice you don't agree with; unless they are issued by the police or local council just ignore them.

Anybody remember tescos "double the difference" price promise? I do. And its why I refuse to shop there any more, the lying, thieving c*nts.

:lol::lol: I'd be too busy sh*tting myself to pass out.

Solid home win, Koeman will be throwing the kitchen sink at this one. I'm not broken hearted about tickets up for grabs, this is the first game of the season I might be able to get to.

Apparently De Jong crocked himself in training, out for a few months. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29083684

I give more of a **** that the Fonte one is cringeworthy, tbh.

Well, I just googled it and all that showed up was a load of cats with their heads stuffed through a slice of mothers pride. What a waste of good food...... not to mention the bread.

I often used to wonder what rates the furniture companies got on "interest free credit, nothing to pay for x years" type finance. At one stage I kept getting told by potential customers they were buying an item from another dealer who did interest-free, so I looked into offering it myself, and the rates were truly horrendous. If the punters only knew how much of that purchase was going direct to the finance company servicing the deal, I doubt many of them would have gone through with it. Still, a lot of them found out the hard way when they wanted to resell the item, and discovered just how little value had been in the product to start with. All I'd say to anyone considering one of these deals, if you assume that half your money goes in finance, and the dealer has to make his mark-up out of the remaining half, you won't be far wrong.

Southampton buck the trend and are the biggest transfer window earners!

Surprising comment, given your usual positivity. -
Talking Tactics: Koeman gives Saints fans reasons to be cheerful
scotty replied to pap's topic in The Saints
This. How many games last season did we lose/draw, and then bemoan the possession stats? I lost count of the times I thought "but we had 70% of the ball, and still f*cking lost...." And pap is right, we didn't usually look like scoring. We passed well and retained the ball, but the scoring bit always looked unconvincing. -
I have to admit, even given turks liberal use of groundbait in the thread starter I wasn't expecting to see quite so many bites. Its not so much a frantically bobbing float, more like a pool of piranhas.

....to people who probably wouldn't bother going to matches, which would do wonders for the atmosphere at SMS. Just think, no queues at the bars!!! Bargain.

I heard there was a shipment of rohypnol delivered to staplewood this morning. Jayrod and Morgan won't know the deadline's been and gone til they wake up on Wednesday morning.

Hopefully, Agent Ramirez will help Hull thieve a few points off some of our direct competitors, (whilst being unavailable to play against us.) We are the new chelsea.

This is starting to sound like that Thick Of It special, the one where they decided on a new party leader. Loads of action/reports/arguments, and the end result everyone was expecting anyway.
-
True, and I have no problem with that. What ought to be prohibited though is loans within the same division. Somebody already pointed out that we'll have to field a 2nd choice left back for two games against chelsea this season, while our 1st choice helps us take points off chelsea's rivals. That's how they've used lukaku for the last couple of seasons.

A bold statement. What if his return from injury looks like taking longer than expected? Or a return to full fitness could be off the cards entirely? ACL injuries are notoriously difficult, maybe the management might want a player we can use now rather than waiting until next year for a hopefully fit Jay Rod. He might come back stronger than ever, equally he might never be quite the same player again.

The report suggests a 14m deal. I'm sure that must mean the overall deal value, not Townsend plus 14m.
-
You heard wrong. He's staying in the UK, Brendan Rodgers has just offered Saints £18m for him.
