  1. I've long thought we should play an inferior keeper, and keep Boruc on the bench as an impact goalie for the last 15 minutes if we're losing.
  2. Stoke are having to pacify the fanbase, thats all. Their fans have been fed a diet of horrible football for so long now they've been almost completely alienated. This gesture will cost the club next to nothing and go a long way towards getting the fans back onside.
  3. ...as I pointed out. Those are things that can be worked on, what do you think of his actual talent? As for his enthusiasm, he looked pretty damn keen when he elbowed ratboy Shane Long in the WBA game. Got himself sent off, I know, but you cant say he wasn't trying.
  4. If you've been running in this heat mate, I hope for your bird's sake your insurance is up to date. I can barely move without sweating at the moment.
  5. MP would have sold him by now if he thought he was deadwood. There's no shortage of takers.
  6. Who, exactly?
  7. Oh dear. Had a few beers, smirker? I know I have.
  8. Just about everything from midfield on, apart from dead-balls and occasional misjudgements about trying to run through packed defences instead of passing. iirc, Gary Neville mentioned him as the hardest player in the PL to defend against last season, and Lambert said he was (one of?/the?) the most talented player in the squad.
  9. Ramirez is a class up from Adam, though it pains me to say it. His dead-ball deliveries are shockingly bad, and he has an awful habit of picking up the ball near the box and doing the south american thing of running into the nearest pack of defenders for no apparent reason (other than, presumably, to play for the pen,) but those faults aside he is world class. And we dont actually have to let him take free kicks and corners, so......
  10. mmmmmmmm, Debbie Harry........
  11. "Is this new spray tan too dark?" asked my wife. I looked up from hiding my wallet and mobile and replied "of course not."

    Lukaku

    Post of the decade.
  13. Yeah, right. Brilliant news about LS, amazing to think we can keep the bright young stars away from the big clubs.
  14. A little sour. I agree with the point about Richardson, fwiw. But theres loads of others who did us proud coming up through the divisions, Butters, Dickson, Hammond, etc etc who hardly get a mention nowadays. Chaplow was a bit of a standout though, and that scorcher against manure = Saints Legend in my book.
  15. A motorcyclist got killed on Balmoral Way recently, theres cones and flowers on one of the bends there. I'm not amazed tbh, there is a pack of bikers who regularly use Lordshill Way/Romsey Road/Horns Drove as a makeshift isle of man tt circuit. Horns has been closed for roadworks recently, I guess they weren't familiar with the bends along Balmoral.
  16. O'rly? They know its an empty promise, because there's no way in hell we would vote to leave. All three major parties campaigning against it?? any of which would take whatever steps were necessary to avoid it once elected, not a cat in hell's chance. And the country isn't going to elect UKIP any time soon.
  17. All Hail the new MLG!!!!
  18. Fair comment, but I thought exactly the same when J-Rod arrived and that panned out pretty well.
  19. I'm assuming that's a joke I don't get.
  20. Agree wholeheartedly, and I'll never forget that netbuster against Man U. I'm not so sure he'll necessarily go to a championship club myself, can still see a prem side signing him. I'm sorry to see him go, he's the sort of player you need when the chips are down.
  21. Add one to the list.
  22. What car does he drive?
  23. The proposed "in or out" referendum is an utterly pointless waste of time and money. Its a political gesture to appease the right, nothing more. If we're to bother with a referendum at all, I'd like it to say "should the UK rule out membership of the eurozone or the transfer of any further powers to europe for at least the next two decades", but that would be just as pointless as the next government wouldn't be bound by it. And in any case, the result would be just as much of a foregone conclusion as the "in/out" one.
