If there is an argument to be made for Sharpy to be given a chance in the PL, its this. We moved heaven and earth to get him here, when he clearly didn't want to move here. Remember the interviews when he signed? It wasn't a transfer he wanted to make imho, Donny needed the money and we wanted a good poacher. What I'd like to know is what was he told to convince him. If it was "we need you to do a job getting us over the promotion line, you'll get a great wage while youre here but once we're up, you're gone.." then thats fair enough. If, however, the line was"we're getting promoted with your assistance, then you'll be part of a prem side," thats different altogether. I cant help thinking he's been hard done by here, regardless of his wages.

Don't suppose we'll ever know the whole story. I'm a bit sceptical myself tbh, but like all these things its easy to be judgemental while not in possession of the facts. My initial reaction was "they look like a right pair of council house scratters so they probably knew what they were doing," then thought "hang on, I know f*ck all about them, and their story might be true for all I know."

If he has a good game, who knows? I just hope he gets a decent spell on the pitch to show what he's made of. We all know already, obviously, having seen him come up through the divisions with us and handle every step up without a tremble.
