We'll agree to differ....

Yes, especially with sesame breadsticks, but only in the heat of summer. Any other time it's just wrong, like eating beef casserole and dumplings in July or salad in January.

No. It will be changed to a large smiley over a thumbs-up.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)
scotty replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Lounge
Its the BBC, not an internet message board. They equally cant say "man made global warming is a fact", any more than they could categorically state that it's a myth. Which it isn't, imho. -
Admitted I got that wrong whilst supporting Saints!

Replacing NA with MP would prove a disastrous mistake, and come back to haunt us next season. -

The Palestinians have accused Israel of assassinating Yasser Arafat. The evidence is compelling. That polonium was kosher.

I do wonder how many of these profile "visits" are consciously made. I dont recall ever deliberately clicking on anyones profile page, but I must have visited loads while on my phone, with the poster and thread subject being so close to each other. -
I missed the first 10 minutes, but he looks very good indeed. Sharp closing down, and hasn't put a pass astray so far.

We'll see on wednesday, but I'll be amazed if they do.

I think we'll field more or less a reserve side, and so will Sunderland. The result could go either way, but if Sunderland do field their reserves, (as I'd expect,) then I think we'll shade it. And to all those saying we should field our strongest side regardless, a freezing night up north against Sunderland reserves with a point to prove is absolutely tailor-made for a slew of injuries. Just saying.

Yep, teams and match report still on here. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/fa-cup/2012-2013/southampton-chelsea-570311.html Slightly weakened starting 11, I suppose, but interesting to look at the side back then and how much has changed.

Interesting thoughts on Ready To Go..... http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/southampton.832146/ Someone on there suggested playing their second string, another one replied "why not. Their no worse than the first...."

Complete freak of a goal, cant blame Boruc at all imho. And even Begovic looked embarrassed, fair play to him for refusing to celebrate it.
-
I noticed loads on the match and post-match threads, am I the only one seeing this and wondering? ffs.

Why are there so many lately? Touchscreen phones, ipads, or a glitch with the site?

"Luis Suarez. Everybody knows how he has a hunger for football...." ....and not just football. Shame he didn't mention his appetite for the Prem, and the bite he's added to the Liverpool attack.

Nothing racist about it, I didn't say or even imply that it was a Moslem on the plane. And yes, its a play on "allahu akhbar".

As a bad flier, shortly after take-off I was so nervous I suddenly needed a pee. I also wanted a brandy to settle my nerves. Sweating, I left my seat and started up the aisle. "Is there anything you need, sir?" asked a stewardess. "...a...a loo and a bar," I stammered. And that's when they all jumped on me.

That's the point. Withholding benefits would be punishing the child for the perceived sins of the parents. I don't have kids myself, but I don't begrudge the money that goes towards those that do in order to help raise them.

Ah, different gig then. The one I saw was in 2011, and trust me, it was truly appalling. Diehard fans were booing him towards the end, and he played an "encore" to a half empty auditorium. That was crap as well.

If you're thinking of the same Hammersmith Apollo gig that I saw, (and I imagine you must be,) I have to say that was probably the most disappointing gig I ever saw in my life. Utter dross served up by someone who didn't seem to know where he was or what he was doing there. One of my rare nominations on C*nts Corner in fact.
