Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
scotty replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Too much information Really good performance, stifled by a sunderland side who stuck solidly to their game plan, pack midfield and defence and sit on an early lead. JWP m o m for me. Chambers impressed me as well. Ref was, as others have pointed out, genuinely appalling. He's not going to enjoy watching the replay of that game. Also, I was in kingsland centre, and the lino that side almost outdid the ref for sheer incompetence. Final note before I dig the car out of the east street carpark, I was worried by SRL's injury. Most around me said he'd whacked his foot, but it looked more to me as though he had pulled up sharply while running......anyone on that side get a clear view of it? I hope like hell its not a hamstring, which is how I saw it. -
This. Can't wait til kickoff, Kingsland centre for me today. Started work early and knocked it off by 11am, then got started on the beer

Anybody who says "Can I get". Or "Thats how we roll." Grounds for summary execution, imo.
-
He looks like a serial killer w*nking over the dead body of his latest victim. Still, his tactical analysis of formations and squad rotation more than makes up for such minor peccadiloes.

Thats the problem with winning the league; the bastards promote you. Then there's nothing to play for, because there isn't another league to be promoted to except the Champions League, and they're foreigners. There really ought to be an option on promotion from the Championship. If you get a promotion spot, why not be allowed to auction it? Maybe Huddersfield or Brighton would bid enough to make it worth our while, then with the money we could buy some better players....errr....with which to push for promotion......errrrm....so that next season.....ummm....

"The total cost would be £3000," said the funeral director. "That includes digging the grave." "Is that the whole thing?" I asked. He replied, "Yes, that's the hole thing."

Evolution at work. Hopefully his nads got pierced, and he wont be able to reproduce.

Dear God. If I was his daughter, (or stepdaughter, which he apparently considers to be the same thing,) I'd be calling Social Services or Operation Yewtree.

Some statistics from the West Brom game. Saints playing long ball?

Given that we had significantly more possession, how do the hoofballs translate as a percentage of passes made? Paging MLG......paging MLG....... -
Quivers down my backbone I got the shakes down my knee bone Tremors in my thigh bone I'm shaking all over. Oh well, that's ECT for you.

Agreed, very funny. Never heard of Bobby Mair, wonder if he's related to Eddie? There was another good adoption joke on sicki the other day, check out snikoggs profile and click view all jokes.

Gary Delaney is very popular on Sickipedia. They love him there.
-
I resent that.

My boss phoned me at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning. "Accounts just called," he said, "can you work all weekend?" "I told you yesterday, I'm doing my garden," I replied. "I've got a bonfire started, and the shredder's set up as well." "That's a relief," he replied. "We'll be over in half an hour, the auditors are here on Monday."
-
Well, this is disturbing. Keep going lads, we'll give Brighton a run for their money at this rate.
-
Unlikely, imo. The policy seems to have been getting young players with potential, and tbh I was surprised at the Osvaldo signing because of that.
-
Really good point there. I'd forgotten that, would it have made the difference when they were matching us game for game and on our tail for months? Methinks Lambert in that Hudds side instead of ours, and they would have comfortably overhauled us.
-
I had a theory at the time that Paul Davis didn't lamp Cockerill for the tackle, but for his godawful haircut.
-
Yes. Yes, he is. Even clueless junkies make sense occasionally, its the law of averages.
-
That had occurred to me as well. A decent showing of goals in the EPL would go a long way in the World Cup squad stakes.
-
This makes even more sense, Appy.
