  1. I'm hoping the old knackered 50 foot conifer in the corner of our garden doesnt get blown down. Could cause a problem for the neighbours, that.
  2. I'm switching off the Formula 1. Its all over bar the krauting.
  3. Settle a question for me, was your original comment about wanting us to win the League Cup a serious one or a mild jest? I had assumed the latter.
  4. No argument there. Very good indeed today from what I saw of it, which was from just before the second goal. Pure class, and I notice the sky pundits were creaming their pants over us.
  5. Anybody deterred by the "costs" of going to university is too thick to go to university. The fees are a deferred tax, not payable until you reach a higher than average salary, which you will presumably earn because of your additional education.

  7. Yep, that was a belter. Possibly the key win for us that season, euphoria doesn't begin to describe the fans reaction.
  8. Oddly enough, I was chatting with a couple of online mates on another site about just this. Doggiebang is a Man U supporter, a genuine local one as opposed to the surrey brigade. He reckons that the most likely scenario is for Moyes to be sacked after a run of poor results, and Ferguson to come out of retirement. Doggiebang- All teams have bad phases, it doesn't bother me, if Moyes doesn't get it right somebody else will! Scotty- Looks like your theory's right Doggie. After Saints ran your lot ragged all afternoon, its Moyes out by christmas and fergie out of retirement. You were lucky to get a point today. Doggiebang- I only caught the highlights on MOTD, ****ing hell, they seemed to have improved! C*ntybaws- Man U played well, I thought, and Saints were quite lucky to get a point - but they'll beat the **** out of a lot of other teams this season if they keep that sort of form up. Scotty- I watched the whole game on a stream, and it was far more one-sided than the MOTD highlights showed. Take a look at the stats, saints 54% possession at old trafford?? And the shots on goal were just as telling. On a side note, Fellaini was lucky not to get sent off imho. Two really horrible tackles, both of which should have been bookings at least, stamped on Osvaldo and then Wanyama.
  9. That would be a decent name for a band.
  10. I can confirm this theory. I've been trying to bang my wife's younger sister for two decades now, and still not a sniff.
  11. Terrific stuff. Bossed the game, made man u look ordinary and ultimately could have nicked the win. Fellaini should have been off the field long before he got subbed, really nasty player. Two horrible fouls, stamped on osvaldo's foot then wanyama's, both absolutely deliberate imho, typical old trafford refereeing to ignore them both. I hope the ref takes a long hard look at those on the replays tonight and has a word with himself.
  12. You dont need to asterisk it.
  13. Nope, from here on in you are bound by law to call them "c*nts".
  14. Spot on as usual from bearsy. It's actually a mark of respect that you feel you can call your mate a c*nt, you know he wont take offence and he knows you know it. Of course hypo's right, you wouldn't splatter the term around with people you don't know, that would be plain rude. Getting back to the Hodgson thing though, if those were his actual words I can see why some would be uncomfortable with his comment. I'm prepared to accept it was a joke about a space mission I'd never heard before, but that seems kind of tenuous to me. And would the posters defending the comment think its ok to chuck bananas at players?
  15. In the wake of Roy Hodgson's "feed the monkey" jibe about Andros Townsend, Glenn Hoddle has commented that Hodgson must have done something wrong in a previous life to deserve his speech impediment.
  16. Yep, alcohol tends to have that effect on me as well.
  17. A man u fan I know reckons the latest rumour doing the rounds is Moyes sacked by christmas and fergie out of retirement. They aren't happy bunnies at the moment.
  18. Funny and well-written article imho.
  19. I'm assuming she doesn't read this forum.
  20. Ever tried Magno soap? Its a spanish one, best smelling soap I ever used, I buy it in bulk anytime we go to spain as you cant get it here. I imagine in dubai you can buy anything, so try a bar of it.
  21. That would be the same MP who decided to put him on the pitch, right? And spent a small fortune in the transfer window without strengthening at left back? I've stayed out of this debate so far because I always liked Danny Fox as a player in the lower leagues, while realising he has severe limitations. Never forgotten that godawful crossfield "pass" that gifted Reading a soft goal at SMS, possibly costing us the Championship title. But I liked his wing play, ball control, and his dead-ball deliveries. I'm not defending Fox's ability. But when all's said and done, the manager played him and Fox can't be blamed for that decision. As for the other aspect, players coming up through the leagues with us, Turks nailed that the day this thread was posted and imho he was dead right.
  22. Voluntarily, or as a punishment?
  23. Beware.... http://www.sickipedia.org/joke/view/sex-and-****/children-1500259
  24. That looks like a scene by Dante. Christ, did we really used to go there??
