It only really hit hard at Christmas. Almost everybody I know whos self employed started suffering when the new year arrived. Up to christmas I was working flat out, seven days a week, the problem was making time to get to games. Now its lack of money, not time. Ive also lost count of the number of friends who have lost their jobs since then. I understand the point about the cold weather and poor form, but I'm convinced the economy is the major reason for the drop in attendances.

Alpines right. This is the most exciting season we've had in ages and attendances are dropping; it can only be because nobody has any spare cash. I've missed games this year simply because I couldnt afford to go to them, since christmas the workload has plummeted to a trickle. I was very busy til then. Would be interesting to see how other clubs attendances are holding up in comparison. I'll be there tomorrow though, fwiw

Model professional, gives 100% and also comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke, but given his injury history I just cant see him figuring in NA's plans from here on in. Oxford is a good loan move for him and for them, hopefully he will get a proper run of games there. Best of British luck to him, I really hope he does well there. Would be fantastic to see Lee help Oxford to promotion.
