I think he may have been kidding.

You've just said it yourself. Pellè has been a very good player for us, better at times than others, but usually when he has a drought it's at least partly due to the opposition doubling up defence on him. And that creates space for the rest of our forward line even if he does nothing. But he's either scoring and effing brilliant, or not scoring and complete sh*te.
-
This, in spades redoubled. Players have good and bad runs, they don't suddenly become utter sh*te over the course of a few days.
-
Yeah, he'll be well up for it.
-
Hiddink would be a very good shout. Doubt he'd be interested though.
-
I'm for that. But they have to take their refs with them.

How tall was Jesus, mlg? I'd like a definitive answer on this.

Southampton appeal against Sadio Mane red card - Appeal Successful

I think we're well beyond needing to prove that. -
You are correct. We flogged so many that season I've lost track of where they went.
-
We didn't pay too much for shane long. We paid as much as it took to get him from a club that didn't want to sell him. You could equally argue that the dippers overpaid us for lallana, lovren and lambert, and man u overpaid us for clyne and schneiderlin. Long has been a huge part of these couple of seasons for saints, you don't get international players for a few grand and fifty quid a week.
-
That's the point though, isn't it. We'd just been comprehensively raped of the core of our squad, but managed to get decent money for it. It didn't matter what we paid for Long, the price was completely irrelevant at that stage. We needed a competent match-ready premier league striker, and he fitted the bill perfectly. I don't get this whinging about forking out 12m for him, he's paid it back in spades already.
-
So, when exactly did vardy offer to sign for us then? You can only buy what's available, long was an excellent buy who we probably wouldn't have had a cat in hells chance of getting if his priority hadn't have been to get back down south for family reasons.
-
Whenever we played a team and he came off their bench I always thought "oh b*llocks, that's it then." A bit like Le Fondre, you knew he'd always either score or create something.

I saw the highlights on my phone late last night, and watched motd this morning. That butland foul on tadic was a clear penalty, I think mason is going to have a bit of explaining to do there. While he's at it, I'm also assuming that he'll have a look at the manè red card which was even more ridiculous. Farcical refereeing. It's not often you get such a consensus from the motd pundits, and when you even have the opposition manager saying he couldn't understand the red card you've got to question the ref. Hopefully that'll be rescinded.

That's actually an excellent point. When Yoshida had a decent run as a starter he improved massively, now he's essentially a backup player he struggles. Hardly surprising really.
-
I can't see beyond a defeat either.
-
He's been gone from us long enough now that I've lost interest in anything he does unless it's against us. The same goes for the others, with the sole exception of lambert.
-
They used to say that about vesta curries. Probably true in both cases.

If it's any help, my mrs thinks he's good looking. Then again, she's married to me so I guess the bar is set pretty low.

Bruce grobbelaar, for taking the money and gifting that c*nt rosenthal a hat trick. Roy f*cking keane, for taking the p*ss and because he's an absolute f*cking c*nt anyway. Paul davis, for the cockerill incident.

Let's face it, perennial relegation scrapping by a team in red and white stripes is something we know plenty about.
-
We could start from another premise about roy hodgson, but I've said my piece about that so many times I'm in danger of sounding like dalek banging on about relegation.
