Super Schlong!

Does Martina know he is playing RB?
-
Terrible defending there. The whole back 4 have been **** today.
-
A guy who has scored 30 goals in 50 games last season is average? What does that make someone who has scored 1 in 74? Think I have heard it all now....
-
In Morgan's third year he was already a starter for us. I can understand maybe some were writing Morgan off during our relegation season but don't recall many taking shots at him when he got to the 50+ game mark? Your point is valid but the difference is Morgan got to grow with the squad as we picked ourselves up off the floor. JWP will not have that chance so he has to hit the floor running. In the PL you can't carry anybody. I hope it works out for JWP as he has been with us a long time. But we have had similar people we thought were going to be good and they didn't turn out that way. For every Morgan turning out ok there is a Surman or a Mcgoldrick. I remember when people were lauding up Lloyd James as the next big thing.
-
Yeah that was really starting to annoy me. He also tries to do a Gerrard style ping diagonal pass which always went to their player. If I had to pick either Reed or JWP to play I'd pick Reed everytime right now.

I don't think anyone is writing him off. Don't go all Turkish on us and think because one person says it we all must think it. You can't write anybody off after one game. That would be stupid. I have watched him play on TV a few times and he seems a decent player. I think once he get's up to speed, get's to know his team mates and our system he will come good. However he did have a bit of a shocker last night and its understandable how some would wonder how he will fit in with the big guys of the Premier league due to his size. I think he will get better the more he plays. But if Wanyama and Davis had similar performances as him yesterday we would of struggled. Thankfully Big Vic put in a killer performance and took no prisoners. One or two people saying one thing is not a collective opinion of all of us. -

OMW home and loved every minute of it. Their fans are a really nice bunch of people. In regards to the game I felt first half we were in complete control. Second half was a bit dodgy and the third goal was some serious luck. If Long ****ed that up I think Koeman would of lost his rag! Everyone was solid apart from Classie really. Made some terrible passes and got bossed off the ball a little too easy. But can't judge him from one game, going to take time to get used to the new team. My motm was a draw between Davis and Wanyama. They were machines. Keeper needs a mention as I thought he did really great. Not just the saves but his kicking was brilliant. On to next week! -
The thing that ****es me off about this whole thing is if anyone says anything even remotely aggressive they get shot down as racist or whatever. It isn't racist to point out these people who want to feel 'safe' and are escaping such horrible terrors have passed through multiple 'safe' countries to get to our borders. A lot are economic immigrants, nothing more. Of course they want to move to a place where they get free healthcare, a free house, free education, free money etc. If you were in their situation you would too. One thing that did make me laugh was one of them on TV is from Tunisia..... "we are in fear of death" he said. What is funny about it is he is from a place I have visited many times and never seen anything bad happen ever. In fact Tunisia has a lot lower crime rate then us and a far lower murder rate. The sad thing is the ones who really do need the help and are actually escaping hell are lost in the river of idiots like that.

He is a decent player and I welcome him to the club. That said he made some horrific mistakes last year and averages about 1 tackle a game (according to whoscored). That isn't that impressive. But I think with big Vic and Classie in front of him to give him some protection he should do a lot better then he did at QPR. Its a no gamble signing and adds to the squad depth. He has the potential to be a very good player imo.

They never fail to amaze me. To answer that question about how much would it cost to buy us..... - 4 star Uefa rating stadium with top class facilities. - £20m+ training centre. - One of the best academies in the world. - A top 10 team in the richest league in the world. - 19 international players - £80m a season just from the domestic tv rights deal. - European football. etc etc But they are right. I am sure someone would much rather buy a club that has - Terrible stadium and facilities that can't sell out a match. - Fourth division football - £240k tv deal - No training ground Because that would cost about £5 tops.
-
Exactly. Im not thanking a guy for spunking money we didn't have on a player. Morgan came good and we made some nice money in the end. But so many others didn't turn out that way. I have nothing against Lowe. Hope he is enjoying his life just as we are. But he made some terrible calls and one decent one doesn't need to be applauded.

Reed said only two months ago "It wouldn't be our intention to sell any of our players this summer. “We’re in the process of renegotiating contracts with some but our main purpose at the moment is keeping this squad together and adding to it." And in April "As far as the policy in concerned we have had a great season, we want to build on that season, we want to improve the squad going forward, we want to retain the players we’ve got. They are all contracted, they all have existing contracts and we intend to honour those contracts. Any enquiries we get will probably be met with a ‘no, not for sale.’ Our intention is to keep this very good team together and build on it by bringing in players to improve upon it. " Also Saying in april ""We'd like to think we have the structure to reach the Champions League in the next five years. "But it's important to be established as a top-six club over that period." Cortese was long gone when those statements were made. The ambition to keep the players and add to it, and reach the CL has been said by multiple people. I don't blame anyone at the club for anything but you can't say it was Cortese's ambition as under the current board it is just the same.

Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

End of an era so its quite sad to see him go. I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds (even if I want UTD to fail). Always gave his all for the club and will be very hard to replace. £25m is a nice fee and alongside the £12m for Clyne should enable us to get in some decent recruits. Good luck Morgan and thank you! -
Haha was just kidding. But come on he was way better then an average CB. I would put Jos down as an average one and he is better then that.
-
Heard a good one whilst I was in states recently. Was speaking to a guy who follows "English Soccer" about us and he seemed to know quite a bit. He said he loved the way we played etc. I said next year should be good too so keep on watching us. Especially the semi derby against Bournemouth. He said "are they the team that play in Blue that you guys hate?" Poor old Portsmouth, been out of the spotlight so long people have forgotten their names. Except everyone in Milan of course.

So saying don't rush out and buy any old player is having a meltdown......right

-
Like I said Long fits into that bracket for me. £13m was way over the odds. That is what I am suggesting we avoid. Or more Gardos'.
-
Again I don't see how I am panicking exactly? I am gutted we lost out on Toby. He was a huge reason for our success last year. I have faith RK will get in the right people, but as I said above we shouldn't just rush out and buy any old person.
-
Not saying he is a pub player. Just saying he isn't at the same level as Clyne or Toby. It isn't bed wetting to point that out.... I have no doubt we will sign a quality CB I just hope it isn't for stupid money (Long style) because we are desperate to get someone in. We have a lot of time until the window closes, the club need to get the right players. Don't rush in that is all I am saying.
-
But again why didn't we just pay them it rather than not deciding to chase it? He should of been signed the day the season ended. The past months saga would not have happened. Maybe we didn't have the money to pay it until Clyne was gone? (seems more plausible then saying AM don't have £1.5m).
