Any particular reason why you bring up the gay pub that was nail-bombed in 1999? Was that an attempt at banter? If a pub full of Saints fans had been nail-bombed in the past I imagine you'd get quite uptight being reminded of the fact.

Just checked my ticket from yesterday to see if it might be any use getting one for round 2. Might as well be a raffle ticket. No club or fixture name on it. Ah well. If Gas get 15% tickets that's 345-ish, leaving about 2000-ish for locals. Will be a hard to get ticket. But I suspect this will be on telly, as a potential 'giant killing'. If ESPN could get it I'm sure they would as they were following Totton anyway:- http://www.youtube.com/user/ESPNUK?blend=1&ob=5#p/u/1/OYF9jfTBYfk

I'm no expert, but can think of a couple of simple things to try first a) switch over the Acer and Xbox (your wired connections) at the router. See if the problem transfers to the Xbox. If so, a port has failed on the router. Try any unused ports or add a switch (e.g. NETGEAR GS605) to the single good port or replace router. b) Replace cable between Acer and router with a new one. Cables can fail if subjected to repeated stresses e.g. stood on or bent in a doorway. If neither of these simple steps works then I guess you could replace the NIC in the Acer. They are dirt cheap. Or maybe do a clean OS re-install - but obviously this is a pain. Good luck.

In case you used bank transfer: My bank transfer apparently didn't send my reference (sotonswan), so the site had no idea who the £5 was from. When I emailed stating when I had paid it was sorted immediately.

Roll call of non Saints fans who use this forum

You may have a point. It depends when these fixtres appear in the calendar. Early on and no chance. The Jack Army travel pretty well in numbers anyway, but now we have 16K season tickert holders chasing 3000 away tickets. And these are fixtures that have not happened in a generation (and may not be repeated for a few years afterwards if immediately relegated) so demand will be very high for even less 'desirable' locations. Wigan will be vastly oversubscribed. We took 3.5K to Wigan for a Tuesday evening FA cup tie this year. The Martinez/Judas factor. We will want to relegate them. If we stay up a second season I'm hopeful it will get easier. But that's thinking far too far ahead. -

Swansea fan (and Supporters Trust member). I was a Saints member for a couple of years until the scheme ended. Then the ticket office became a nightmare to deal with (my experience anyway) and I stopped going to Saints games altogether. I haven't been for 18 months. I have absolutely no chance of getting a ticket for home or away Swans matches next year, so if I fancy watching some live football next season it will be Saints or Totton. Saints v Cardiff would seem likely. I look at 'The Saints' board occassionally but I'm so out of touch it doesn't make much sense to me. I look at 'The Lounge' and 'General Sports' fairly frequently. There's some good threads in there. -
Thanks for noticing me. I feel validated now. Except it doesn't quite work that way. Being well informed, I'm sure you're well aware of the Virtual Fratton End on Paltalk. Swans also have a room there on match days. Everybody now knows that non-pompey gets banned from VFE straight away but away fans can come into the swans room so long as they aren't ***ts. Step by step the mindset is revealed. You beat us at home You invaded our board . . . . but you wouldn't let us on yours The word is getting around, don't you worry. What a sorry excuse for a club/supporters you are. Give my love to Anniecloggers. She's OK and is always welcome. Mwah. HAND. P.S. Was sweet to be the club to mathematically deny you promotion

There's nothing like this on any Swansea or Cardiff board. There are some quite smart people on those boards but they are vastly outnumbered by look-at-me idiots who start new threads on exactly the same topics over and over again. I think this thread is absolutely extraordinary and I am happy to pay £5 a year to read it even though I don't have to.

The highest Pompey can come is currently 6th. If they lose next weekend to Swansea then it will be mathematically impossible for them to reach the play-offs. Swansea have now lost their last 4 away games (painfully. I've been listening to them.) But now that second place is virtually out of reach for the Swans and play-offs are relatively secure they may play with less nerves next weekend and kill Pompey's season for good. Hope so. I'll be there. ;-)

Best they can mathematically do now is 4th (70 points).

It's official. The slip has begun. They can't come top. Team Current Matches Maximum Highest Points To Possible Possible Play Points Finish 12 Leicester City 56 7 77 1 13 Portsmouth 54 7 75 2 14 Bristol City 53 7 74 2 http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/runin.html

Here's the Championship Run-In link you'll want to bookmark then.

That'll be Sydney FC. Fancy a listen?

This square 1? In which case aptly named. http://www.square1consulting.co.uk/ St Mary's and Saint Markus on the first graphic fade . . . . .

I will probably be ex-communicated (by the Welsh) for this but . . . . Look at it from Toshack's POV. He's due a blazer, a lifetimes's supply of free beer , and a position on a Committee of some considerable (disputed) influence - the FAW. It is what every true Welshman aspires to. I can't see him giving up all these status symbols just to manage Southampton.

It's like Christmas Eve. I won't be able to sleep.

I know what you mean. You just pressed one of my buttons there with Italy. Not as many goals tonight as I expected, and ITV made my day (not) with the mostly upscaled SD rather than true HD. Roll on Friday.
-
They don't ALWAYS win. I remember my biggest ever single betting loss - Italy v USA a couple of World Cups ago. £150 on Italy to win. Easy Italy win you'd think. Until they decided to make a punch up of the whole match and it ended a draw with 3 sendings off :/ Don't be surprised if they draw v New Zealand. . . .

ITV HD error already on telegraph website here, and we're still in the 65th minute!

Happy for Blackpool. They deserved their play-off place and they deserve their promotion. Well done Holloway.
-
No idea of the truth of this, but he did a decent job on loan at Swansea in League 1. Wages itro 8k/wk and his wife is a Bournemouth girl I do believe.

Nice to see Martinez making his mark on the Premier League Highest he ever took Swansea in Championship was 6th. Currently 4th without him. We do miss Scotland's goals though. Bastard. I am SO looking forward to MOTD2 tonight. Hope Dave Whelan is satisfied
