  1. The minimum price for adult first round tickets is £10 - see page 14 of http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFACup/~/media/Files/PDF/The%20FA%20Cup%20And%20Comps/CompetitionDocs%202010-11/FA%20Cup%20rules%202010-2011.ashx/FA%20Cup%20rules%202010-2011.pdf If the FA sided with Saints, that suggests that we proposed £15, not £10.
  2. What is the point of the under 21 team? It would be better to send players on loan to League 2 or the Conference.
  3. Is it possible for one team to rig the number of runs and wickets in an over? I am of course not suggesting that England were involved in anything illegal.
  4. At least Hampshire had the excuse of getting Kent relegated.
  5. Is the "commentator" a Swindon fan?
  6. Quicker than the BBC, but three possible improvements:- 1. Substitutions 2. Minimum stoppage time 3. All stoppage time events are 45:00 or 90:00 - 90:00+1:53 etc would be better
  7. and they will record your name and other details on the police computer as a suspected hooligan
  8. He could have been run out going for the first run, which would not have counted.
  9. He didn't make the final 18 and France lost 0-1. http://www.uefa.com/under21/matches/season=2011/round=2000006/match=2000192/lineups/index.html
  10. The Sun has given in, and is calling us Southampton and Saints again http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3091521/Southampton-owner-Markus-Liebherr-dies.html
  11. How much do Sky pay us when they show a league game from St Mary's? How much do we lose from lower attendances at TV games? Perhaps provoking a TV boycott is part of Cortese's plan to increase profits.
  12. Nothing in the Telegraph, but they have nothing on League One (apart from the results). The Times has Sheffield Wednesday v Dagenham as its main League One report (big club v recent non-leaguers, so an obvious choice). Saints v Argyle gets the same amount of coverage as the other games.
  13. So Sky may decide to react by not showing any more games from St Mary's this season, and we will play all our weekend home games at 3 pm on Saturday. Sounds good to me.
  14. Checked out the Southend programme online. The last page, with the teams, is missing - perhaps it contained something controversial which caused the programe to be pulled in May? It's not very user-friendly. The two-page view means that the text is too small to read and having two columns on most pages means constant use of the mouse when zoom viewing. Also, white text on dark backgrounds is not very printer-friendly. However, that may all be because it is just a copy of the old physical programme. I expect that all these problems will be resolved for the new online programmes.
  15. And most match reports in the national press (on the rare occasions that they bother to report our games) are too short to need a photo.
  16. 1. Can't find the article online, but if it has actual quotes from Eastleigh then of course they should report about a dispute between two clubs in their area. 2. Depends what the agreement said, but if we agreed to play on a Saturday, we should have played on a Saturday. 3. Both teams gain from having a good relationship.
  17. £29 must be a record price for a League One programme.
  18. Morgan needs to get into the Under 21 A team first - the team he played for in Toulon was the France Under 21 B team
  19. Will there also be Carling and Johnstone's Paint patches?
  20. Sutton think its our 1st team http://www.suttonunited.net/news.php
  21. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sash
  22. Need some Saints-related lyrics for "The Sash":- It is old but it is beautiful, and its colours they are fine It was worn at Derry, Aughrim, Enniskillen and the Boyne. My father wore it as a youth in bygone days of yore, And on the Twelfth I love to wear the sash my father wore.
  23. Was he the Malcolm Tuck who got 2 years for Maze Hill?
  24. Found that by trial and error, but last season for a cup game I missed out on my season ticket holder's discount by looking in the Matches section. It's almost as if they are making it difficult deliberately.
  25. Some of the sentences do seem excessive, on the information provided, given that last week the (Tory) justice secretary said too many people were being sent to prison. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2010/jun/14/ken-clarke-prison-sentencing
