It seems that what an individual does isn't important, if he is part of a violent group: http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manual/violent_disorder/
-
The sentences seem inconsistent with earlier ones arising from the same "riot": http://http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/5009132.Four_fans_in_court_following_derby_game/ Does anybody know what this group actually did? Some of those jailed don't seem to have done much more than causing alarm or distress.

Salisbury City refused entry to BSP next season
Kingsland Nick replied to stevegrant's topic in General Sports
They had no chance of winning the appeal, unless they could find a time traveller to pay off their creditors by the deadline. It is possible that they only appealed in order to inconvenience the Conference and Forest Green. -
He should have expected the Nazi City fan to leak the email to the press.

How likely is it that we will play at Wembley next season? We would hope to get automatic promotion, the FL Trophy would be a distraction and very few League One clubs play at Wembley in the FA Cup or League Cup.

Perhaps Salisbury should have cleared their debts by the deadline of 8 May. It seems that the CVA may be agreed on 12 June, but that would be 5 weeks after the deadline. The 10 ponts penalty was not a real punishment, as Salisbury would not have come close to making the play-offs. The ban on signing new players came too late. If they hadn't spent beyond their means they would not have gone into adminsitration. -
If you are a season ticket holder you will go to most/all home games, so the cheapest way would be to buy your away tickets before home games.

Not surprised by the price increases. Liebherr bought Saints in order to make money.
-
If they don't find a buyer by 3 pm today they will have to sell players. If they run out of players to sell they will go into liquidation, but they should survive for a while.

Reserves Pulled Out of Combination League.
Kingsland Nick replied to miserableoldgit's topic in The Saints
Good news. The reserves should be about developing young players, not trying to win the Combination. -

We wouldn't have been able to pay our creditors by the second Saturday in May. -
And a Swiss-Italian chairman may find it easier to work with an Italian manager.

Luker was there when R*****t L**e was chairman, so what else do you expect?

If the problem was with the printers, surely there would be an apology on the OS by now.
-
If the regular printers couldn't print it, surely some other printers could have done the job instead.

It seemed that they wanted fans to go on the pitch, so that they could identify "troublemakers" and get them banned. They needed to make the announcement three times so that enough fans would get angry enough to go on the pitch. Also, if they wanted fans to stay off the pitch, why were there so few stewards? The gaps were huge, and when the stewards ran on to rugby-tackle the pitch invaders, the gaps became even bigger.

Any chance of Huddersfield going into administration?

So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?
Kingsland Nick replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I hope not, becuase that will probably be lost in the post as well. -
Very unsmug thread for those STILL waiting for tickets
Kingsland Nick replied to Shroppie's topic in The Saints
Still waiting for mine, and I live in Hampshire, so TNT should have managed to get it to my town by now. -
He is apparently the referees' representative at the Prospect union - that may explain why he has only been relegated to League One instead of being told to retire.

According to the Telegraph there was a pitch invasion during the game: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/facup/7215266/Southampton-1-Portsmouth-4-match-report.html I must have been too busy concentrating on the match to have missed this.

Southampton FC was the main asset of Southampton Leisure Holdings plc. The situation the Premier League are talking about is something like this: A holding company owns two subsidiaries, a football club and another business. The football club makes a small profit. The other business loses millions. The holding company goes into administration because of the other business's losses.
