What's that Palace bloke doing with his hand?
-
Before I take part, I'd like to know why you are particularly interested in the views of "straight, cisgender adult men". Why this demographic and not any other?

The squad did about as well as it could. My only complaint is passing the buck in the final third. I think Theo was most guilty yesterday. He gets himself into a good position in the 18 yd box, has one defender in front of him but instead of attempting a shot or take him on, he passes to Redmond who is in a worse position and ultimately loses the ball. I want them to gamble more in front of goal. Even if Theo shoots and it's blocked or saved, there could be pieces to pick up, chances to be had...

Correct. Easy to say from the sofa, but a low shot seemed the only option. Chipping the keeper wasn't on.

A competitive squad. No shortage of surprises this season though, so you never know.
-
Honestly can't see us getting much from this game with that line-up, will be nice to have another good look at Tella though, and Armstong at CM.

We are all anonymous on here but usually manage to behave ourselves. I'm in favour of anonymity online. It allows me to read what people think, without them having to filter their thoughts or worry about repercussions. Civility is overrated. I want to know what's in people's minds.

She comments and people disagree. If she agrees her comments were wrong, apologise and move on. If she doesn't feel her comments were wrong, stand up for yourself, or just switch it off. You can't have twitter all your own way and you can't always expect people to be nice. Comes with the territory.

People that stop walking on a travellator. Now, if your journey for 100m includes a travellator for part of it, you could stop for 10 seconds at any point in the journey, on or off the travellator and the time to get the end would be the same. Why do people chose the travellator to stop?

Boris wouldn't have let Vardy get past him.

I wish we'd take more risks when shooting in these areas and stop passing the buck. Greenwood's second goal against Burley yesterday is a good example of what I'd like to see more of. Edge of the 18 yard box, blast a hard, low shot goalwards, lucky deflection of Jack Cork and in. More speculative shots and less faffing about in and around their box. Someone have a go.

Racist abuse on social media after team loses
Manuel replied to East Kent Saint's topic in The Saints
Ralph was quite negative about twitter the other day, basically saying that doesn't understand why the players need to use it, that they get enough exposure already. I am in favour of anonymous posting generally but there is a price to pay, that a minority of fringe-oddballs can and will say anything. -
Never wanted Big Sam at our club but you have to hand it to him.
-
They are too strong for us in midfield, in fact all over the pitch.
-
Bale needs to leave too. I heard a rumour he's bored as a winger anyway and would prefer to see his career out as a full back, if only he could find a suitable vacancy.
-
I use Bournemouth more often just because of the destinations, although that means having to put up with Ryanair. I'd definitely welcome more options from Southampton.

Stand down gents. The media makes the rules, not you.

The Kastom people of Tanna will be devastated.

Treasonous to say so, but I like the red one. I also liked the old 2012 red kit.
-
Do people 'have' to take everything written on twitter so seriously? I regard much of what I read on there in the same light as idle ramblings down the pub.

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT: I did once wonder if it was a deliberate ploy by the BBC/Government, to give the impression that the country was moving in a loony-left direction in order to gain Tory votes as a reaction. Perhaps we are being manipulated...

So the report finds that the UK is not systemically racist. Although today's Guardian's headline reads 'Considerable number' giving evidence to race commission said UK is systemically racist. Oh well, back to square one.

I heard them call him "the destroyer" the other day, no doubt anticipating the obvious.

My bad, he used the N-word. "#N*****Please" Hopefully, as it's historical and he has apologised, it'll go no further. He was also 15 years old at the time...
