Supporting the players in taking the knee
Manuel replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
I have always been of the opinion that if you've bought a ticket, you are entitled to cheer, boo or comment on whatever you see in front of you. Within the law of course. -
I don't see capitalism as a dirty word. If you want to create threads, create threads. Not sure who you're arguing against. If Steve gets some profit as a result (personally I doubt it) then good for him and his endeavour.
-
Yep, he was all over the place in that game. Gave Pogba no time and made him look poor. The best I've seen him play. He's certainly capable of it...
-
I dreamed last night that we got Pele back on loan to help us out up front. He had a good game but don't remember him scoring. I've never dreamed about football before.
-
I thought he had one pretty decent game. I expect it was the last time he played so I guess Ralph didn't agree or thought we had better options. It looked like he needed to get up to speed, get used to the pace of the league, much as Diallo did when he first arrived.
-
Boom and bust with Ralph. We need someone to steady this ship, starting with the owner.
-
Too often teams walk through our "defence". Need to shore up or we're in for a difficult next season.
-
Worried about next season. We can't carry on like this...
-
He's allowed because he speaks a foreign language...

Shearer's hanging on by his fingernails.

If you've had your ST there for 20 years, the club should give you one of those comfy seats at the same cost as you normally pay. You've earned it.

Reminds me of the tube, the reaction of pure hate you could hear from hundreds of fellow passengers when our train was delayed due to someone throwing themselves on to the line. "Why the F**k do they have to do that in rush hour selfish bastards!!!!"
-
Oh he was definitely hated by the left. I'm sure the left would have loved to have taken him down but he seemed to kind of self destruct and saved them the bother, for now anyway. He is quite conservative in his outlook but entered discussions with evidence and sounded credible. How moderate conservative views can be so controversial to people these days seems ridiculous to me. I haven't read his book but have also listed to a few of the lectures online. He built quite a following. I hope he'll return with as much enthusiasm as before.

I like Peterson. Shame he went a bit nuts and ended up in hospital. Benzo addiction so he says. Doesn't seem quite the same since...

It gets more coverage than it deserves, based on ability. I don't mind promotion but why choose women? Why not choose youth? Shouldn't the under 18 sides complain that ageist policies prevent them getting the coverage they deserve? Why not promote disability football? It exists and has leagues but I don't see them on the BBC every day.
-
To add, a rule I like is "choose your battles". I'm sure there are valid concerns and injustices that people who are different from "the norm" face. However I doubt a complaint about "ladies and gentlemen" is one of them. It seems a little petty to me, and to publicise it in this way does no favours to the cause of people with more "genuine" concerns. It's bad publicity. I expect the Mail will be all over it.

"Good afternoon fellow human beings..." Oh I see, happy for us otherkins to have a bad afternoon then.

And crop circles. Where I am, the aliens roll the straw into huge round balls and cover them in black plastic. Your guess is as good as mine.

I nearly bought about £20 worth of bitcoins years ago as some dodgy company wanted payment in them. Can't remember how many £20 bought in those days but it was quite a few, close to pound for pound IIRC. I ultimately decided against the dodgy purchase so didn't bother getting the bitcoins. I could easily have done so though and just as easily not bothered to get my money back and left them sitting there. Imagine that. I daydream about it.

I know not everyone plays with a smile on their face but he often looked miserable on the pitch. Still, a consistently good player for us, will be sad to see him go.
-
That was superb and should have stood. I won't call the boat anything else.

Perhaps the current Tory resurgence is the voter's backlash to the leftist society you describe? Perhaps it's in the Tory's interest to make people fear a creeping, leftist agenda.

Usual praise for Walker-Peters, Prowse, Ings. Adams also quality today. Redmond good. Salisu good. Vest good. We should look to improve on Minamino and I don't think Theo is the answer.

At risk of sounding like a Dalek, for next season I think I'd take 17th now. With little money to spend, the team in relegation form and no new owner yet there is much uncertainty.
