At our best we've played some very nice one-touch football that has also been effective. I have a feeling we might be going back to that tomorrow, with a full strength side.
Yeah, we've got no European games to worry about so I hope we'll make a real effort in the cups. Great to get to the final but we threw away a chance at the FA cup putting out a reserve side.
With VVD back and hopefully still playing for us, maybe one good signing and I think we're on course for a good season.
J-Rod getting his shirt pulled and wrestled to the floor was the worst excuse for a challenge I think I've seen this season. So blatant and outside of any sort of reasonable challenge for the ball. Anyone know if it would be within the ref's remit to send off for that?
I'd probably keep Long, he does do a job for us off the bench. Draws fouls, gets in behind, quick off the break, good with his head. He's dipped a bit since last season, then he hasn't had as much game time and probably less service.
I think Puel's done just enough. For next season if we can get Virgil back and playing for us I think we'll do ok. I also now doubt that both Hoj and Clasie are going to work out. If we get rid of both in the summer and buy one quality midfielder (another Schneiderlin) we'll do ok next season. Providing we keep everyone else of course.
Glad we took Long off in the end, was getting kicked all over the place. Thought the ref could have given one or two more yellows out to get a bit of discipline.
Ha ha. I actually think we might score some goals in this one. Boro have nothing to lose and will probably be up for it. Gabbi to find space, 1-3 Saints.
He stopped wanting to play for us. If you accept that, the fee was ok. I wonder if he'll start to look beyond Liverpool soon, then you might see a pretty quick dip in form.
I wouldn't be surprised if his mind wasn't right, for all the reasons you gave. His actions might be understandable, possibly even excusable under the circumstances, but not right.
We should be careful not to lower our good standards to those of the barbarians. Easy to say from afar I know.
