Yeah, I don't even know how Romeu gets a start!
-
These top corner shots are nice but I do like to see them try and keep a shot low now and then.
-
I have often thought Stephens could be tried as a defensive midfielder option, next to Romeu?
-
Yeah, reception's bound to be a bit cool initially, but if he kicks ass on the pitch the crowd should soon get behind him. Might help to make a statement of intent first, try and get supporters onside.
-
Great statement from Ralph. Sent the message loud and clear. Now we need to get VVD's mind right and get him playing.
-
If he doesn't start due to fitness, at least get him on as first sub after half time. If he's staying, get him on the pitch.

I can easily accept that a male brain may well be biologically different to a female one, so men and women probably have different characteristics and personality traits that are definable. But if a man says they identify as a woman, are you suggesting they were born with a biologically more-female brain? A quick google suggests that yeah, perhaps it's true... https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn20032-transsexual-differences-caught-on-brain-scan/ Still, as you say, they shouldn't be messing with the kids mind in this way.

I've tried and failed to get my head around the transgender thing. For me the only thing that defines me as male is my male body and subtle differences in biology that come with being male, hormones, testosterone etc. There's nothing within my psyche or my personality that is inherently male that I can identify. Ok, I'm attracted to females but sexual orientation doesn't really come into it, if say I had a female body, I could be a gay woman. If you ask yourself what makes you a man (or a woman), it really just comes down to the biology, not the mind. So when someone says they're born as the wrong gender, what is it within their psyche that tells them what gender they should be, and why don't I experience it? So yeah, as much as people should be free to do what they want with their own lives, I'd find it difficult to support bringing up a kid to see its gender as a 'grey area'.

So frustrating that with all time he's been unavailable due to injury, he's now unavailable because of all this. Transfer window can't close quickly enough.

Agree, excellent defenders, the only attribute they lack is height. The reason we lost the cup final was because late on, Mourinho shoved Ibrahima***** and Fellaini up front to take advantage. Our last game of last season, Crouch scoring a late winner with his head...it was so predictable and very annoying to witness.

Feeling confident. Hopefully they will come out fighting to try and put right today's loss, and we can take advantage of the extra space. I would start with the same team as Saturday and hope that Lamina makes an appearance this time.

The first, Tadic was tackled from behind just inside the box. Personally I think the ref bottled it as didn't want to have to decide whether it was inside or out, either that or thought there was no contact - in which case you'd think he'd have carded Tadic. The second one, a shot was blocked by defender at close range who's hands were up defending his face. Despite protecting himself and being at close range I don't think you can say his hands are in a natural position, it's also prevented a shot, so for me that's a penalty.

When him, Boufal and Tadic were stood there, I said to the missus....well it won't be Yoshida who takes it. Perhaps that's what the goalie thought which is why he didn't move! Boufal's free kicks look most dangerous, looking at the vid (not so much the last attempt though).

Redmond's yellow was funny.
-
Enjoyed it, look more attacking and positive than last season. Pretty sure the goals will come.
-
Impressive start, good pressing, creating chances. Just need to tuck one away. Swansea look very poor though.
-
Lot of money on that bench.

The only issue seems to be that the SM calendar doesn't tell us which game is which, just says "Match Day". I guess a bit of searching should find the right one. I will try out the Watford game at 12:30 as a test.
-
Totally. It would also help massively if the transfer window closed a couple of days BEFORE the start of matches rather than weeks afterwards. I know it's old news but we can see how it affects clubs negatively, especially those looking to keep hold of players.

YOU WILL NEED A CODE TO GET THIS, PLEASE SEE OUR FACEBOOK GROUP OR TWITTER ACCOUNT FOR MORE INFORMATION (DO NOT TRY TO PURCHASE THIS AS YOU WILL GET AN ERROR) INSTEAD CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION. Any chance I could get hold of that code too? Many thanks

Annoying that even if he stays, having missed the majority of last season he now misses the beginning of the next. Window should close the day before play starts.
-
Yes, I agree with nearly all of that.
-
So, optimistic best case scenario at the moment - VVD stays, plays, has a good season, gets sold for £70m end of season. If all that happens it will be a big success for the club and I for one will be very happy with the outcome. I hope he's not booed as that won't achieve anything.

Quite interesting vid of Lamina vs Spurs pre-season. Gave the ball away a fair bit. Certainly tricky. Finds space. Couple of crosses. Reminds me of Boufal.
