What gets me about it is what seemed like premeditation. He did it and immediately said to his unit that it was against convention (and therefore illegal). He also seemed pretty calm and cold, not like it was 'heat of the moment'. Of course he could have been under massive stress with whatever he's been through, and that should be a mitigating factor, but it seemed wrong.
  2. Yeah and I think we have a pretty good reputation with rehab after injuries, so I reckon it would make sense for him and us to stick around for a bit. Maybe another season!
  3. I would like to see this. If we plan to sit deep like we did for large parts today, Long is the obvious outlet. If we get a sizeable amount of possession then Gabbi is the one we look to be at the end of it. 4-4-2 anyone?
  4. Well Forster royally proved me wrong today.
  5. Yep. Liverpool will be unhappy with that half too because we neutralised them, but if we offer zero going forward then what's the point. And more worryingly, eventually one of those half-hearted attempts by Liverpool from long range will end up past Forster.
  6. If we're going to sit so deep, bring Boufal off and put Long on next to Gabbi.
  7. I can only think that, because we're now mathematically safe, he wants to give Boufal a run in the side, for him to prove himself. Personally I would like to see Hassen out there too, for the same reason.

  9. Forster invites goals from free kicks. Leaves big spaces he can not cover. Teams seem to have worked out that low shots will get goals.

Yeah, and that shot which hit the post...I wouldn't say Forster had it covered.

    Puel out

Kind of how I feel. In the cup final I thought we played our best football and were unlucky to lose against Man U. Since then we seem to be slipping back again, and I wouldn't be too upset if Puel was replaced in the summer. Always a gamble though.

  13. Looks good retrospectively on youtube highlights I think, played to the right music of course.
  14. I find any comparison with them embarrassing.
  15. I know he gets hammered on here but I thought Stek was a reasonable all rounder. I'd take him over Forster at the moment who seems crocked. Must admit I've hardly seen anything of Hassen.
  16. I wonder now if we were hasty letting Stek go. He wasn't amazing for us but probably less of a gamble than Hassen.
  17. Ha ha, what a joke. Redmond, Boufal, Tadic yes. I've also seen Bertrand get past one or two on occasion. That's about it.
  18. Corbyn seems to want to go it alone against the tories. He has had some victories when his own party has tried to oust him. Perhaps he thinks he's on a roll? Perhaps he just wants to put his policies across and let the people decide, to have an honest election.
  19. Ok, but didn't think I saw any mention of the SNP there, and Crankie seems open to the suggestion. I can't see Corbyn's Labour having a chance on its own. I think there's enough anti-tory feeling in the country right now for there to be a successful coalition agreement if they could only get their acts together.
  20. So how do we get rid of the tories? Lib/Lab coalition? Including the SNP - would that even work? Lib Dems launching a Remain in EU policy campaign?
  21. What's your guess on the fate of Warmbier. Initially I thought he'd be kept somewhere half decent, used as a bargaining tool and later released. Now I'm not sure Jong Un seems to have any interest in dialogue with the US. I fear Otto's in the gulag.
  22. The people of DRNK are conditioned, even brainwashed, for sure. Who knows about Kim Jong Un though. Is he sound of mind? It's Otto Warmbier I feel sorry for in all of this. I wonder what he's up to this morning.
  23. I gave a tactical MOTM vote to Redmond today, because he was up there with Forster and Yoshida, but has only attracted a handful of votes. More importantly, one of the best TEAM performances of the season.
  24. We're getting better and better. Either Forster, Yoshi, Redmond MOTM. No weak links today though. Couldn't have asked for more considering who's unavailable.
  25. Nailbiting finish!
